Refunds and Prevention of Repurchase

As it stands now, it is store policy to not let customers buy a product a second time after they issued a refund. Under the current circumstances I would like to question that rule and suggest Bossland does a one-time clean swipe of this restriction.

My reasoning is this:

As it stands now, the store has only few developers left. That leaves us with only very few top-notch products. I suspect that most refunds that have piled up, did not come from people being unsatisfied with products or trying to get another 7 days of use out of one. It comes from having multiple banwaves over time. Most users wanted to get their money back on products they barely got any use out of. This is legally their right.

Right now it is not tempting for users to return to Honorbuddy. Payment options have gone away and former customers don't have access to the best products available. We should want to welcome those players back in a time where the shop performs poorly. If the refund fee is really the reason for the decision and Bossland does not want to run the risk of paying another round of refund fees, let users unlock their refunded products for a non-refundable fee basically paying the refund fee they caused earlier. I would like to see a one-time swipe instead of an added fee, but at least this would be a middle-ground.

Is Bossland wants to persevere and we want to have a good standing providing quality products, we need to improve our public perception. Opening the door and inviting people back in is a good way to do that. I would even go so far as to mail those users once if they are affected by the swipe so there is a chance they come back and check out the store again.

Last time I looked into this, I believe this was the case -- Users can not purchase a product after they got a refund.

- Also, great job on your products, you have come a long way since we last talked. Still working on getting my store access corrected, which is a painful process -- probably one of many reasons developers have quit (I have heard from others as to why they have quit as well).

If memory serves, the reason behind this is because of EU regulation that requires any refund within X period to be processed without any reason required. Since there were several issues where the purchase of a product was done solely to use in not-so-legitimate ways (not the ONLY reason, but a primary one), there needed to be a block to prevent the user from purchasing and refunding on the same account when the version of that plugin changed for example.

Another issue, is simply a logical one -- if you purchase something, and don't want it going so far as to request your money back, then it is likely that any reason to purchase that same item again are not legitimate.
