So recently patches have been taking about 1+ days to have a stable patch, why is this? Just a few months ago we were getting updates usually before my raid even started but recently the past 3 or such have been taking awhile to get even a beta patch up for us. Did someone quit who was patching before? Wow getting more sneaky and making it harder for us? What is the cause for the extra time, its not hard to look at past patches and see updates going up pretty quickly.

Also before you guys bitch about how they do a great job and it will be done when its done, im just wondering why, there is no harm in asking why, I use this to raid and its a hassle when its not up, of course I know how to play my class enough to still get by but when you are in a Mythic guild like me it takes a strain and I have had to go to other places to get my profile needs for progression.

They don't seem to be doing BETA builds anymore unless it's going to be a long downtime. One thing you have to consider, is the time zone difference. They're physically located in Germany (GMT+1 I believe), so during prime time for USA it's the early morning hours.

I think there have been more reports of bans lately, and tripwire even went off once. So i assume they are putting more time and effort into make sure its safe. That being said I did enjoy the quicker updates, but if its at the risk of my account then I'm happy that they are putting more effort into it.

i raid with a small raid group...
if i get banned, the group will disband...
i wouldn't mind the down time if its going to lower the risks

I raid in a pretty serious environment, it's unfortunate that HB keeps going down, I can understand why they do it but jeez it's hard to keep coming up with excuses :(

Time zone difference, and Blizzard is probably *****ing down harder on HB with tokens rolling out soon.

From a monetary perspective they probably couldn't care less about HB in relation to tokens as they will still be making the same amount of money from the same number of accounts (possibly more if the tokens cost more than a monthly subscription). If anything they may see a surge in subscription initially as some people that were thinking of canning wow due to subscription fees might now use HB to grind out some gold and keep playing for free (from their perspective).

In regards to the original post we all know full well that the official line is and always has been "it will take as long as it takes", the staff are well known for not being pressured into doing something just because the userbase whinges (and no i'm not saying you are whinging I am generalising so please do not take offence) enough so at the end of the day these threads are a good waste of time but never likely to sprout answers from development (nor should they, I would rather them just work on updating the product)

It has always been VERY rare to get a same day release as US.

HB is updated with the EU patch, not the US patch. The devs are in EU, deal with it.

Like he said this wasn't meant to start a huge debate he was just wondering so before you start bashing people that are wondering why it takes forever now when before it use to be up with in hours. and its his hard earned money so he has the right to ask he is by all means a consumer that bought a product that is down on major days and most people raid on Tuesdays. The only thing i can say is maybe try to find a guild that doesn't raid on Tuesdays or see if they can change it due to hb always down 1 plus day for patches. This was a small patch at that and it took a day imagine when big ones hit it takes almost 2 days if not longer for are product to get working again. So please respect his post don't be a immature idiot bashing what he is questioning.

Learn how to program and let us know how much faster you can do it.

You could always learn to play manually. If you are doing end game raiding, you should know how to do this even if you bot most of the time.

Except EU is patched on our Wed which is why you don't see HB releasing patches until their EU rollout. They have never rolled out updates in "hours" for the US, I've been using it for years.

(GER) Patch is out for 30 minutes now. Our HB Dev's are from Germany..

depends on patch, most times things are not as easy you think they are :)

personally having a little downtime for the sake of safety is always a good thing :) the only thing that i think needs a little looking at is the lack of comms about how things are going :) i mean 12 hours ago was the last update :p just would be nice if dev/ updaters could just keep us updated a little more :) im not talking like every 5 mins :) but like every 2 - 3 hours just to rest peoples minds on how things are progressing :) it could be something simple as " we have hit a snag and we need a little more time " or " things are going as expected and we should be able to push a release in x amount of hours most of us are very much greatful for all the work you guys put in :) its just that sometimes we just need to see how things are progressing :)

Who knows. Maybe patch was laced with traps to detect botting and the team is working hard to counter them.

maybe it is, maybe it isnt :) but if we was just kept informed we would all know :) instead of everyone wondering whats goign on :D see my point :D
