Read Email Vis C#/VB

Im trying to look for a way to read emails Via C#/VB for gmail. I have read tons and tons of tuts but they never work.
Maybe a push in the right direction from someone with experience...

How good is your programming / computer science knowledge?

You can try using custom made plugins (normally paid), use the framework itself with SMTP classes, or write your own.

You say the tutorials never work, so i am guessing you dont have much knowledge.. or else you could find a way. Can you please post what tutorials you tryed that did not work?

I have tried and picked at many but they are most likely outdated.
The problem is finding a .dll and knowing the functions of it.
