[Rant] Things that peeve me about this bot.

I got to say I am a little miffed that you have so many closed source projects, zero class development and the amount this bot crashes. If you are going to stop working on this bot, which is virtually appears you have, then make more shit open source.

Bg Bot is about 100% unusable in its current state. If you use it expect to be banned because it looks just like a bot. There could be others in the bg going the EXACT SAME ROUTE EVERY FUCKING TIME. It was in beta what almost a year ago.. never made it past that point.

PVP Bot is completely broke and does not really do anything but ride around.

Auto Equip (which was open source) now closed source and no ability to mod it to Need on specific items we need).

Default Classes that actually work. I understand you gave us tools, but for the price being charged maybe it is time to hire a dev to do it for you. At this rate I have had to make or alter any off the radar class I wanted to play. The development time to make them work properly was not worth it. I could have invested that time and hand leveled a character.

RAF - Can do grinding and Instances, but not questing or ability to take advantage of PVP weekends. Again just incomplete. If you are going to advertise and release it, make sure it works all around. When was the last time this bot was even touched?

You have a good start but either open it up or fix it. I mean the simple fact it can't read all the aura's on a character to me is troubling. Just goes to show that it isn't actively being worked on and I can't see me actually paying for this again next year at the rate this is going.

Will remain at its current state,plain and simple
you can create a new equip plugin if you need more things

Default Classes
Are there for the basics,but tbh Singular v2 works as it should(basics again)
we have so many custom CCs for all classes,you can use them

Just to let you know - in my opinion, a reply like yours only makes you look like an idiot, not the original Op. Just because you can do things like leave your HB on for weeks on end without getting caught doesn't mean that it's a good idea to do it. In fact, if you are actually serious about that, it's only a matter of time before we see your ban report - well, if you admit it WHEN it happens.

So... in short, remember what most parents have told their kids, "If you can't say something nice to someone, then don't say anything at all". Your post made YOU look bad, not the Op.

You know most all of the things you say here are true...but I love the product nonetheless. It's still worth every penny.

Crashes: It has been crashing since I started using it. Check my join date. It has been an issue for the last 2 years.

BG Bot - Beta for a year? No beta lasts a year for that small amount of code. It just isn't being worked on.

PVP Bot - Doesn't really do much other than run around, check again in Alterac Valley.

Auto Equip v2 was taken from a PUBLIC addon and then turned closed source. Why not open it back up to its current state so others can tweak it since devs will not? Shit just adding more options to the config would work wonders. Let us build our own weight sets. Yea I like greeding on Chaos Orbs.. I really do. Or not being able to need on offset gear etc... Just limits a perfectly good plugin.

Default Classes - are mostly broken or don't work. You have singular, but as far as I know FPSware doesn't work for you? Correct me if I am wrong, but that is relying on outside sources to make your bot function. Also go find me a working Boomkin class other than the one I wrote. Or a decent working ret class other then the EZret I had to alter so it healed itself. Or the PVP Healer shaman back in the day when I had to write in functioning logic so it actually healed people. The list goes on and on. Every single time I have used this, I have needed to fix something, or deal with something else.

I have to admit that I agree with the Op with many of the points as well but I very much like the product. I have tried to suggest different improvements to make the bot look much more human but it seems that many of the ppl here think that any suggestion is an attack on the product and defend it to the death. When people take the time to point out what isn't working, by and large it's an attempt to get people to improve on what is admittedly an excellent product. We only want it become even better.

Yes, sometimes suggestions come out as a rant - and if we're honest, sometimes a rant is deserved. Some of the bugs have been here a long time (well before I was using it by what I've read), and show no signs of being repaired any time soon. All we ask for is that we could at least see progress on them. I think that one thing would calm alot of people down is if the Devs would show some kind of 'to do list', what they see as problems or things that need to be done or improved and which ones are currently being worked. That would at least show us that it's on their radar and we could see what's "just around the next corner".

Just my thoughts... As I said though, great product - just hoping like many that it could be made even better.

Also even as a native English speaker this forum layout is just plain confusing to new people and seeing as a lot of people just run the bot without taking the time to read on how to make it work or even what a CC or profile is and does then it might be handy to have a text file pop up with either a pointer to a good starting guide or even reading off some basics (of course make it so it doesn't pop up everytime).

The community (3-party devs) are really what make this bot stand out.
The basic setup provided by HB will work, mainly for leveling, or for farming mats.
PvP has lacked as of late with updates/fixes/improvements.

But seriously, all of people on this forum, that actually contribute, are what makes this bot the best.
Without our community this would just be another bot sitting on the market, with not nearly as many users.

The fact that we have so many contributing members is because of the Amazing open-api development, with a sh!t ton of built in checks, methods, and the like.

I will not be posting here again, as this thread is just restating all the problems already known over and over.

I think they are too focused on other bots. Such as Rift, that weird tank game no one will play, and star wars. They know WoW will die soon and don't give it enough attention anymore. Just attempt to clear some bugs which only lead to more bugs and crashes. Lot's of problems for the past 2 years and seems they are never fixed. Eh, can't wait for Diablo 3 because it won't need this bot to do it. easier source coding for D3 bots will be easier meaning most will be free and *****ed

Most default classes work well. Not very good but well enough. For the rest: There's always extra CCs available on the forums to get that extra bit out of your class. You've never made it overnight? Your rig must really suck then... I regularly let it run overnight with 3 at the same time only to wake up the next morning to see them still going strong.

That's your prerogative. Don't like it? Don't use it. Try to get something better... oh... wait... there is nothing better.

No, HB isn't perfect. But it's the best there is. So you have three options:
- Don't use it. Which basically means you either handplay or you don't play.
- Use it and stop whining.
- Use it and try to improve it. Make sure you report whatever isn't doing what you think it should do and help the developers fix it.

You're currently trying to use Option 4: Whine and hope the world magically changes to suit your needs. Hint: been tried, didn't work.

We know all the contributions make this a great bot. We are simply talking about the stuff that comes with it. Such as BGBot InstanceBuddy etc... BGBot has been broken for well over a year, instance buddy is a pile of crap and it's literally been almost an entire year and still no support for cata dungeons. Now there will be a lot more dungeons and no support for those. So this BOT is basically dead and will only be updated for it to work without any of the above fixed. Which sucks because we all payed a lot for this bot

then the OP should know better then everyone that making a CC isnt easy. let alone making one for EVERY class and EVERY spec for use in EVERY way imagine able. if your having a problem with a CC then report the problem, dont just move along because how the hell are we suppose to fix problems we dont even know exist, not only that but singular is open source, and if you wanted to make changes all you gotta do is ask apoc for the svn. but if you want the latest in development of course your going to have to go to another CC. you bought a car, we provided a car (singular) but if you wanna pimp yo ride, your going to have to go into the community.

If you have written your own bot that does all of that, then why are you still using HB?
And you "KNOW" these people on your list are botting how?
The database makes sense yes.
And if you have done it before, then do it again, or offer up your services to the HB Devs and see if you can get some work in on the ClosedSource projects.

the last time you posted in my Amplify Thread was back almost a year ago, back when i released version 1.4.4, if you havnt noticed or been under a rock, im already on version 1.8+ with all the changes documented.

there is no "Lack of attention" its only perceived lack of attention. just because the developers dont micro blog out every single change they make or everything they do during the day, does not mean that its not constantly being worked on, DAY IN and DAY OUT.

now for this "Get off your fanboi chair before I kick it out from under you." if you wanna make and state a case for whatever then do it, but if you wanna troll, then you can just enjoy a vacation from the forums, because it wont be tolerated here.
