Random PM's on this forum

Lately I've been getting weird random ass Personal Messages from low post count users. PM's asking if I want to sell them gold and similar stuff. Today I got one from a total stranger with a low post count that said something to the effect of "what makes you so brave to bot at times like these". What the hell does that even mean? Any idea what these guys are up to? Are they trying to run a tracert on my reply or something? I'm pretty sure they're up to no good.

go into settings and turn off message from all members then u wont recieve any from members only from admin staff mods if they send u

Well I don't want to block all members, just these random weirdos who keep pm'ing me for no reason. I'd also like to know what they're up to.

The problem could be a collection of idiots--in which case you are out of luck. But, if we see a pattern in IP addresses, the forum admins can take corrective actions.
