So I'm thinking of putting up a radio station thats actually online 24/7/365 with DJ's and all. If you were going to tune in what type of music would you like?

do a wide variety, and this sounds like a good idea - i'm listening right now :p

house.

Pandora, Napster, iTunes, last.fm, di.fm ... You want to compete against that?

That's only 5 of about a bazillion stations...at this point your best bet is to come up with what you're good at and if its good then people will come to it. In this day and age though the music people want is pretty much available at their fingertips for super cheap.

Good luck with it. Trance is good, Pink Floyd, Devo, They Might be Giants, Oingo Boingo, Tori Amos, Johnny Cash...really just about anything, but as I said with so much out there I doubt I would tune into something else.

Rock - Classic/Hard/Metal you pick ....No country please please

You the MAN wired420, I cant wait to JAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why not have themed hours? Like from 4-8 is dubstep / house / trance / dance, and then 8-12 run rock, etc etc?

If anyone is like me, I'd listen to both lol. Plus, the same people are NOT gonna listen to the radio station 24/7. Maybe gather up some data (like you are doing here), then when you find out the genre with the most demand you can apply that to the peak listening hours, and in the less busy hours you can run other genres to attract other listeners.

-shrugs- just my 2cents.

Clever, very clever! :D
- I agree, this would be a nice way to do it.

Trance, Vocal Trance, Euro Dance, Techno, Dubstep and of course some nice chillout.
