Hi,
Just started to sell gold on EU severs made 72$ and now the demand for gold is really really down... like 1$/K? WTF? Are they waiting for the expansion to come out to start buying gold again?
What is the best thing to do:
A-Stock pile all gold made and wait for expansion?
B-Sell as much as possible now and cash it all in?
C-Stop selling gold altogether?

This is really sad news for me... Just started a nice thing going but now i can't find one site that will buy for over 1$/k
Oh well, won't quit the day job!

Yeah collect gold till expansion and sell it with other 999999999999 people that will do the same thing.

play around a little bit with your bots as long as your accounts are active to get more knowledge about botting... when your accounts have run out wait til cataclysm and start again. and keep up to date with HB and GB. perhaps get some 80s on several servers. thats my advice and thats what i will do. selling for 1$/k is not an option - IMHO
 
I'm starting to realize that all the private buyer thing is bullshit; how much can a private buyer buy per month, like max 20k g; that's one but still

Guilds do bid runs
(ex: each piece of gear has a base price and people bid on up from that to get it)
Some guilds are selling heroic ICC gear for 350k a piece, so if you find someone who wants that gear and has IRL money to back it up you are set.

Yes, gold selling is dead.
I'm going back to college, was nice making a living from this while it lasted, made enough to cover my losses and have a bit of fun with the cash I made at least.
Too many gold farmers, way too many, sorry but It's true, It was inevitable, Supply </> Demand and after asking all the companies I've dealt with over the past 6+ months they all say the same thing, same demand, excess supply, though that Isn't rocket science if I'm honest.
Going to do a bit of researching, perhaps a new game maybe, not sure, I'll think of something.
Public knowledge of the resellers sealed the final blow also, not a flame to any particular subjects but that's just how it is and anybody who know's the scene will agree with me (only to do with resellers of course).
gg, don't know what I'll do with my stacks of gold that nobody will buy, maybe I'll do a in game lottery :P

Btw vascilia, I was looking into ethopia but the market doesn't have much liquidation (well that's what the vet's say nowadays :p), seem's a very interesting game though, in game currency for real currency and all

350k? You could've fooled me, but not with a number like that.
 
Indeed some guilds sell items.

But I let my private buyers live like champs ;=) I try to convince them, that they REALLY need that 15k choppa. And they REALLY need all the best gems, and enchants.
I make around 35k a week. I sell around 30k a week ;)
 
I dont really see a point in hoarding gold for the xpac, atleast not until its pretty close. You would be at a huge loss if you got banned

Yup, time to packup for a little bit I think, what game time is left will be spent leveling toons with HB rather than gathering.

Just spend the time leveling your chars tbh

I dont think cataclysm has anything to do with it.

Just a over supply ... people will always want gold (the day they replace gold with BOP tokens is the day that warcraft dies.. because the economy/ah will be osbolete.. people dont want to spend 13 hours farming some titanium..

It IS an over supply, people that say everything will be fine when cataclysm arrives live in hope, demand will go up of course, but do you know how many new farmers there is going to be when cataclysm arrives? I'll tell you if there is no banwave before It's released, a SHIT load more.
cataclysm is 6 months away, that's a huge gamble to horde gold, people are already doing it and with more farmers everyday It's going to be the same IMO
 
You can either Find private clients, sell with the prices you get offered with to the gold resellers or just quit.

If You are doing it for "fun" or extra "cash" , just quit it.. not worth the trouble.

Personally, i do it for a living, so i have to adjust myself with the current situation and think ahead.
Whether i like it or not, i HAVE to sell.

You do this for a living? In your blog you say you have sold for 2000$ in 4 months. I'd like to know where you can live for that! ;)
 
it's only been a couple of weeks since i unloaded 600k on six servers so i'm not experiencing this atm since i have low gold supply, but if what you say is true and this is the current situation we're in(low demand high supply) I'd give it til next patch and if nothing happens there I'd probably use the time to look for other income whether it's a job or other MMOs.

MMOs have a gold selling life cycle ..some are months long(SWG) some are years long(EQ) and some are YEARS! long (WOW) heh. but every MMO's gold selling cycle economy eventually matures to the point of too much supply and not much demand...

Blizzard is aware of this so they will like always put some money sink content since they know currency selling = successful MMO , always has always will be.

meantime, check out other games that have good RMT like Aion ..maybe you can farm bot there while WOW is going thru a slow phase.
 
Yeah I love Gbuddy but it honestly ruined the gold selling business. I was making $21/K with my private bot before it came out >:
