Hey, guys. I have a few questions about profiling (AV in mind specifically) that I can't seem to locate in other threads. I've read the how-to guides and read a load of replies, but can’t seem to get some of the basic info I think I need to create an AV profile that works well for me.
1.) Where generally are the hotspots located in AV profiles? Take the default profile for example. It only has five hotspots for the entire map. Just five. I absolutely HATE running directly into all 40 Alliance players in the Field of Strife right as the battleground starts. I’ve looked into a couple other AV profiles that swear they are so much different than the default, and yet it still weaves through the little burnt posts thing and sends me like a kamikaze into the zerg. I need to know where on the map the default hotspots are so I can know where not to put mine.
2.) I know you can randomize the hotspots, so should I assume that the order in which they are listed in the profile makes a difference? I guess I am still in the glider mentality in that I feel the need to map out waypoints exactly where I want the bot to go in the exact order I want it to go in.
3.) If the order DOES matter, should I map out my hotspots starting from the cave and work my way around the map in a particular order? How should I include Frostwolf and the Relief Hut?
I not only want to look a little more realistic, but to actually contribute more to the battleground as well. Although the default profile sometimes works, as a horde healer I feel that if I could do some fine tuning I could really make a nice personalized profile.
I think if some of this could be clarified for me (and I’m really sorry if I’m missing something obvious) then it would help me not only create better pvp profiles, but any profile for that matter.
Also... I've attached a map of AV that may help someone answer my questions. Mark the map and re-upload it, maybe.
Thanks!
tl;dr - I’m stupid and don’t understand why I suck.
