Question: Time-Lost Proto Drake Farming Profile Creation

I used to do profiles and such for Glider but haven't put too much time into HB yet. I can understand the coding used to make profiles for HB/GB just can't write them.

If I wanted to basically AFK farm for the Time-Lost Proto Drake at one of the four locations in which he spawns how would I go about doing a profile for that?

The location in which he would sit afk at waiting for a spawn would be (6552.3, -670.5561, 835.8092)

How would you make the bot sit at the waypoint and wait for the TLPD to spawn on top of you and then kill/loot it?
 
If I recall, there is already a profile for this.
 
Remember folks that GB wont attack it, it just plays an alarm to let you know.

I'm not a forum noob. I know that profile and yes it is a "TLPD searching profile" that just flys around where it flys. The problem with that is it just flys around and makes a noise when it see's it and hope that I am around the computer when it does and hope that the other people farming its spawn points don't kill it as soon as it spawns.

I am just looking for a very simple HB profile that stays in one exact spot (one of the spawn spots of the TLPD) and kills it when it spawns.
 
Make a hotspot, use some anti afk plugin (forumsearch) and add the faction from TLPD.

I dont know how it works, but i would give them a chance :D
 
When you add just one waypoint (hotspot) where a spawn point is or maybe a false waypoint (I'm guessing that could make it stay wherever I put the toon manually) would the toon just stay in the one position or would it try to find a second waypoint that isn't there?

I know when I tried doing this for the Auto-Angler I guess I wasn't doing something right and it kept running after the first throw looking for some waypoint that wasn't in the .xml

As far as anti-afk I use Jitbit and have a macro that plays over and over to keep from going afk.

I'm just trying to get it so that I don't have to be around the computer when it does spawn so I could camp it 24/7 afk and know that when it spawns it's dead.

Edit: I am at work right now or I would try the single waypoint profile myself. Just hoping to get some info from those that already know so I can have things in order for when I get home.
 
HB is not really capable of doing this at this time. you could AFK in one spot for days hoping that it spawns and you manage to tag it before it flies too far away but otherwise no. to travel between the spawn points would require a flying mount due to the terrain and HB is not currently allowed to use flying mounts in order to prevent someone from making a GB clone plugin for free.

Correct, I am not looking for a HB profile that flys to the different spawn sites but it should be capable of sitting at ONE of the four spawn sites and tag/kill when it does spawn at THAT spawn site.

On my server there are usually at least 2 ppl camping. Most of the time all four spots are camped. So its advantageous for me to sit on one spawn site anyways as most of the time the other ones would already be camped. It would be a huge waste of time to fly all over looking for it because as soon as it would spawn one of the spawn campers would've killed it already.
 
Update: Well I tagged another protodrake and got the Faction ID 1711 Monster, Predator then also noticed 2029 is Monster, Predator also so I added both to my profile.
I am trying it with just one hotspot and see if it works. So far it isn't moving and is continuously "downloading mesh" which I assume is because there is no "mesh" being it is just one hotspot? Can anyone clarify that?
I just dont know what will happen if it actually spawns. I will do some tests on another type of mob and see what its reaction is.

Update2: If anyone is interested I was able to use my profile to afk camp a regular protodrake without moving so I am hoping this will work with a TLPD spawn also. I am in the process of camping a spot most likely all weekend. If I get a kill I will upload the profile for others to use.
