Question regarding the latest bans

Hi,
I would like to know if you guys were all online with the account/char when you got banned, or did you also got banned when you were offline. I lost 2 accounts and both where online. the 3rd one was also botting but wow crashed shortly before the ban accured.
I just want to know to undertand a little more.

I had 5 accounts banned. All were online.
2 account were offline and didn't get banned. But they were still leveling (85~) and were about half time less online than the 5 others.
