So since its my first time actually in a patch situation using honorbuddy,I was just wondering, how does everything work?I understand that honorbuddy will be down, but out of curiosity how long does it get for it to be back up?

Are there any special security measures we need to take after HB has come back online or it is the same like usual?

Usually HB is down for a few hours to a few days depending on how much the client changed in a patch. The HB team disables the bot while they complete the update to keep us safe. They will usually post updates on the main HB forum in an "Official" thread.

Just be patient, HB will be up and running smooth in a short time! As far as account security goes, the guys at Bossland don't mess around. They won't push out an update until they are happy with the security. Losing your account is always possible when botting, but patch time isn't any more or less dangerous.

It will be the same as usual.. can take a few days until hb is up and running again.

As a user everything remains the same for you unless blizzard does major changes. I believe that the honorbuddy staff just needs to fix the offsets that the patch changes and make sure nothing bugged out. They also make blizzard didnt do anything funny to warden. Sometimes the beta release is here in a few hours other times its a few days.

With the implementation of different features into the game, I wouldn't be surprised to see at least one patch follow. Seems to be the norm whenever they try something new. Which also means that it may extend the downtime for HB.

Time to bring out the hatchet, feathers, tar and fire ... its going to be a long day.

You absolutely must! DO THIS before you back log on to wow after installing any patches from Blizzard!

Very very important! Those of us who have been in this rodeo a few times prepatched and already did our bug sweeps. We are now patiently waiting for the servers to come back up so we can relearn how to play our toons and scout for new spots to bot.

So i will have to actually play? sad

jk jk jk
There should be archives of the general forums where essentially, this was the discussion for about 8-11 days after the prepatch for wod. It was a long week of complaining and checking the sticky post for updates in the release thread.

At the time, it was end of the world comments and begging, lots of begging. And some anecdotal stories of "I used to be uber" or "anyone know how to Hunter?" hijinks in the same thread.

Let alone, they also changed a number of legacy API's so that any plugins that were abandoned by their devs, didn't make it into the update either.

If you get really stuck, there's one button rotation macros for most classes ;) even for healing, pvp and lfr. Kind of hilarious that it exists.
