HB Community,
Here is my setup:
1 - PC (i7 processor)
16 gb dram
2 gb video card
OS - Windows 7 pro
1 - ssd
1 - installation of WoW
Bots: 5 (so I can have my own dungeon team)
WoW video setting (all instances) - low
25+ Mbps internet connection (tested download at 29.67 Mbps, upload at 6.7 Mbps with 5 bots running).
Issue: Constant disconnects (sometimes all accounts, sometimes just 1). This disconnects come when grouped and non grouped.
Reason: Unknown (suspect Blizzard scripting/query). I suspect Blizzard becuase after playing by hand for 9 years (including the usage of ISBoxer - multiboxing software manually levelling 2 accounts) I've had very few disconnects in 9 years.
I'm not a Network/OS/Hardware/Software engineer.
I've read through many posts on the forums looking for a solution to this problem. Here is what I've gleened thus far.
1) VM okay but doesn't hide CPU id; HB user concluded VM was a waste.
2) IP masking; HB community split (more leaning towards hiding IP is a waste at least in the US versus Germany).
3) One HB user running many accounts on a 12 core server all VM
4) Buy more computers (1 computer for each account)
I'm not sure what the cost of a multi-core server is nor do I want go out an buy more computers. I've been pondering leasing server space to install multiple instances of WoW. Any thoughts on this idea? Any better ideas?
I used to play WoW for fun. Now I'm much older and mashing keys isn't fun. Why bot? I prefer to bot versus watching TV or reading a novel. I like seeing all my bots in action. I like having gold on my toons so I can buy glyphs, gems, enchants, sometimes gear, and repairs. I'm not in this to sell gold for RM or game time. I make a decent living already.
