I read the ban reports with more than a small amount of sadness for my fellow botters, and I never see a single player running a single instance get banned.

Oppinions? Is this because single players are too small of a fish? Or too small a segment of the botting population to get caught? Or single players are not posting?

I havent botted act 3 or ANYTHING that would seem to attract attention, but if my theory holds true (single players aren't netted up for whatever reason), I am thinking of venturing into some more lucrative waters.

Thanks for reading and your thoughtful responses!

Im new at DB, and also thinking if i should invest in this program.

Im also looking at BAN reports and it seems its the more " hard core " people who gets caught.

Should i be afriad if I only have 1 account, and this is going to be used for botting items?

If you're afraid then don't bot because there is NO safe way to bot, simple as that.

As for 1/1. Thing is, only minority of people use only 1 bot. People rarely bot on their main because they're afraid of bans and if they want money they'll have more than 1 acc. That's why there's not many 1/1 reports

It is really a lot about luck. My friend got banned with 1/1 on his main after less then 10 hours sarkorth ( even seperated on 3 different times, its months ago so sarkorth was normal back then) and he had 100 hours of normal gameplay before the 8 hours of botting. But if there comes a wave of bans and blizzard is stricking down on what your doing then its just bad luck. I bot on my main and in the first 2 months of botting I only used botting to gain better gear. Since I now got close to BIS I started just selling some of the items I get on RMAH. After a few weeks most get bored of the game and don't care about getting banned, so just bot a bit more careful when you don't want to lose your account.

Just gotta bot smart and not overdo it. I botted on WoW from vanilla to the end of WotLK on my main account and never got banned.

guess im just lucky i leave my bot on for days on my botting account not my main the most i have left it on for was 86 hours and i still leaving it runing for more then 1 day :-)

Yes 1/1 back with Sarkoth doing 24/7

You have to understand they do bans in waves, you might have been flagged already multiple times and your name are written on the Death Note

if they ban in waves then why are there ban threads on here every other day or so? New ones I mean.
They don't have to ban in waves necessarily.

It's different. In WoW you get banned mostly because people report you, so if you bot less -> less people will report you. Here blizzard probably does some periodical scans, because people have been banned after 2 months while some others have been banned after 30 minutes, so no, there's not much "smart" about it, just luck.
I also have 2 accs that have over 1000h botted and 350M+ collected over 3 months, and they're still running strong. On the other hand some accs I had got banned after couple of days. So yea.

They ban in waves. Just look at all these topics and you'll see that all bans in last 2 weeks happened on 14th through 17th of September, first in US and then in EU. It doesn't have to be couple of months apart to be a banwave. It's just that people are reporting it after couple of days.

I have only 1 account too, and I hope I won't get banned. Been using it for like 3 days, if I get banned before I can at least get my investment back I'll be pretty frustratred.

I'm surprised this topic is still open. I've heard of people having been 1/1 banned champ farming. A large degree of luck is involved in who's banned and discretion is used in banning.
I smile - every-time I read someone asking the hours someone botted as their is no reliable data suggesting longer botting hours conclusively lead to higher ban rates.
At the same time I don't want competition and want the casuals to stay casual and not offer the amount of gold and items 24/7 botters can - so it's really hard to defend the style.

I think hours a day are preference and I don't want any of you botting 24/7 - in fact you'll get banned if you do - I don't get banned for it because I matter more as a customer to blizzard - God smiles on me - you know;
he also seems to smile on a slew of other people. You might cognitively believe their are higher ban rates based on time - but you're not taking into consideration the following;

More people may bot longer - explaining the skewing of the poor data - you may be in the minority if you bot a couple hours a day.
people who do not have a large interest or stake in botting may be less inclined to report a ban
some ban reports are just falsified - some are trolls - some are just angry players who don't bot and don't like botters

Your hours a day are your choice and I prefer you not bog up my 24/7 play and connection to the navigation server - but do know us on the other end - roll on the floor over this stuff

Botting on main account (only have 1 acc so have to be on that:D ) Been botting for 10 days now, and i bot all from 5-17 hours a day, i choose not to bot from specific time to specific time, i just but when i want to. some times it can be 1 hour, then i log off, and after a few hours i put it on for 10 hours. etc.

Not banned yet, but i think it will happen sooner or later.

And like i said in wow section, dont whine if you get banned, you choose if you wanna bot or not. there will always be a risk, take it or not. :)

Oh and yes i sell alot on ah and i once sold gold on RMAH.

We are 7 irl friends all botting ONLY 1 bot at a time, some bot since first champion farm is out some of us just started 3 weeks ago. Zero bans till now, lets hope it stays the same.

Some of us use the rmah some dont, we all play manually a lot aswell solo and group.
