question for someone familair w/ inner workings of HB and/or devs (simple ?)

Im looking for which file specifically is responsible for the location of the honorbuddy window when you first click the executable (pre entering your key/logging in). Also, what else does this file control?

The window insists on popping up somewhere I dont want it to and i'd like to relocate it in order to have it pop up on another monitor every time i run HB. Problem is, after it pops up and I log in, HB itself is properly positioned and aligns itself where I need it so if it controls both, i want to be prepared before I pitch it.

Hopefully a way exists in order to clear the "cache" and relocate the hb/key window once and for all

thats incorrect, because when i first launch it and close it, every time i run it the small window AND full hb window pop in the same spot i closed it. Only the first time however. If i were to delete all of HB and restart it, i could reposition it again. That is what im trying to avoid however the ability to reposition it without removing everything.

not worth taking a screenshot but i can right now start HB on my set of 3 monitors in surround, and it pops up on my accessory monitor where my mouse ISNT. I can also initiate it and it moves to the corner i placed it previously. The initial popping up of the login/key window is what im trying to move. If i reposition it now, it seems to always start where i intially placed it no matter what i do.

If this makes more sense, great. If not - perhaps ill wait for someone else to chime in. Worst case ill have to take a picture but it sounds good in my head Ultimately its me being anal but im ocd about that sort of thing

its probably part of the same file that saves the login key and a ton of other settings... just trying to figure out which that is, and what it saves to determine if its worth deleting just to reposition the window lol.

Should be this file I guess: Honorbuddy folder\Settings\server\charactername\UISettings.xml

aside from this file I don't see anything else that allows you to change the pre-login location

The login window seems to be set to display at the middle, for me past login it firstly opens at the top left corner and then it moves to the bottom right corner which is where I have it set.

You are very likely trying to change the 2nd positioning the windows does right after the login which I don't think there is a settings files for...

Lol its actually the first positioning. I moved it "off center" which i thought was center at the time lol. Now im an anal bastard so i want to mvoe it a little more. The "second" position goes where i want it to. If i adjust and close honorbuddy and restart, it will restart where I moved it to. So the second "position" is saving/moving properly, the first however - is not.

Im not sure how much if any of htis is due to the fact im using it on an accessory display. Either way, thank you very much for your reply ^^ ill play around and see if i clear that out if it will allow me to readjust.

it may only be manipulateable that first time.. and after that - the second window only as per the file you referenced which as you said is probably associated with that..

We shall see though. Either way, defeinately not life or death, as i said im just ocd as all hell and it drives me nuts
