Then why does Valve scan your DNS cache if they suspect you of cheating? To see if you have visited any hacking sites.

I work in IT and know that Blizzard in fact can see the redirects from other websites that link to theirs as I can see that in my works web server statistics. It actually shows exactly which URL that linked it to Blizzard's website.

There are several LEGAL ways they could do this.

One of which is by the tracking of HTTP referrers. If you visit Battle.net through one of those "Character Build" links you see all over this forum, theoretically they can see the path that you took to get there (and in some cases even a site you visited before the DemonBuddy forum). Whether or not they are actively doing this is; it is up to you to change your browsing habits in the case that they are!
