Question before making my purchase

I am thinking about getting honor buddy but mostly just for the gathering part of it, i have used a bot in the past and everything went smooth (it wasnt this bot) i used it for battlegrounds, although with all the bans i have seen in the ban section i am really hesitant i know that there is always a risk of being banned or whatever but i am curious is it the program itself getting the people banned or their stupid habits and public gathering routes or whatever, if someone could please help me out here and answer my questions it would be greatly appreciated :)

People are getting banned because they either bot 24/7, put up 400 auctions a day or use public profiles that everyone else uses. If anything within HB was detected, there would be way more bans.
 
so pretty much if i make my own profile*idk how difficult that is* and just bot for a hour or two here and there or whatever and not make stupid auction house decisions i should be okay?

*edit* what if i make my own profile in a common spot, lets say Ghost iron in valley of the four winds
 
I have botted on two accounts for about a year for personal use. I used Questing profiles to get Lv90 in each class and Gathering profiles to level professions on all of them. No bans as of yet, but I bot at a very leisurely pace compared to some of the people here haha. I wouldn't touch an AH bot with a 10 ft pole though, the chance of the no lifers camping the AH realizing that you are running a bot is probably ~100%.

TL DR If you don't go overboard then it's fairly safe IMO. But botting is botting and there's always a chance of ban.

Pretty sure you wouldn't be banned at all if you were to bot an hour or two. Just behave like a normal player. No one would farm Herbs for 10 hours straight.
Yeah I'd say making your own profiles is pretty safe.

Still ok imo. Would probably have to look out for player reports though
 
Before I start I want to tell you this is just what I have put together so it may not be 100% correct.

I believe that it is a mix of the two. Botting will always be risky no matter how safe you are. With that being said if you bot day after day for 12+ hours a day you will look suspicious. Honorbuddy is currently undetectable as a program but that doesnt mean that it is 100% safe by any means.

I have been where you have too, when i first was thinking about it I looked around to see what my options were and i say Honorbuddy is the best botting survice out there. Honorbuddy has instilled a part of there bot called Tripwire (I think thats the name) that is there to shut down Honorbuddy if anything strange happens on Blizzard's side. So say that they found a way to detect it, Tripewire would catch this and shut down everybody's program to keep them from botting with a potentially unstable program.

Other than that though the developers are awesome and very helpful and involved in keeping you (the customer) happy. The only downside is sometimes it seems that the community as a stick up its ass and looks for reasons to flame lol, but where doesnt that happen?

Overall, great program and 10/10 recommend it!
 
thanks for your input guys i appreciate it, also the bot is down at this moment due to updates i see how longs the usual downtime?
 
Longest downtime has been 6.5 days. Ever.
It usually doesn't take longer than 3-12 hours for an update to be released.
 
sweet guys, i will definitely be purchasing :D but jsut so i know what im getting into how difficult is the bot to use? as in just setting up the basics and creating ur own profile and paths?

For some people, it is the hardest thing possible to set it up. If you are not stupid as hell and if you can read, its simple. Like, a baby could do it.
In regards to profiles, no idea. Probably requires knowledge.
 
too bad im getting honor buddy failure page when i try to purchase the bot -_- ive tried debit, credit, and paypal -_-
