Question about 72 hour ban..

I just received a 72 hour ban for using 3rd party software.
I was using BGfarmer Millz and apparently was caught? I assume somebody reported me.

My question is, this is the first time I have been banned for 72 hours. Usually, they just ban my account and I have to open up a ticket and deny any wrong doing and they then either unlock my account or keep it perma banned.

Should I let it be banned for the 72 hours, or open a ticket and deny any wrong doing and ask for it to be reversed?
Is it stupid to reach out to them to tell them that I feel that they made a mistake? Even though I am really wrong?

I feel if I just allow the 72 hours to pass that I am accepting or admitting fault in the situation.

I know this is the risk we take in botting, but the whole "72 hour ban" situation is new to me and just figure to ask the community.

take it and don't stir the pot cause it can always splash back on you and burn you

aka what I really mean is don't push it cause then they might look at you harder. I been botting for years apon years and only 72 hour bans 48 hour bans for chat related stuff never botting "cept one time years and years ago for mat farming and AH'n it" <-- HIGHEST RISK IN ANY PROFILE / PLUGIN AND STRONGLY NOT RECOMMENDED

reason its highest risk is cause you are directly affecting the in game market which blizzard looks the hardest and takes the most concern in

questing / random bg / personal farming doesn't affect many other people in much way so they tend to let you play your own game at that point I feel,
yes if too many people report you as bot in randoms It can get you temp banned like you are but that's really really rare.

oh I forgot I got a 72 hour ban for a raid glitch that wasn't on purpose "non bot related" cause the raid we were in was killing oregorger and he glitched after a failed attempt and stayed 1/2 dead so we all pulled him and killed/looted him and it was labeled as "abuse of game mechs" which is BS but hard to argue any temp /perm bans

how they found out is beyond me and all loot was taken back
