Since the beta thread is supposed to be kept clear for bug reports, thought i'd ask this in a seperate thread (although i have submitted a bug report / log anyway)

I just wondered how people are doing with the latest questing beta ? Is anyone still having the problem of the bot forgetting the quests and grinding ? Although this beta is better, i still have to restart HB sometimes to kick it back into questing.

Is this a profile based problem or still an issue with the questing logic within the bot ?
 
I saw in the 3.3.5 (not a version) that it wasn't fixed, and to my knowledge they didnt change it in the 3.3.5a version.
 
It must be a very complicated problem. This problem has existed for a long time now
 
There should be 2 separated forums for each buddy product. Bug report and discussion, people use the download topic for both which turns to be a pain in the ass, wether for discussion or for devs to search for bug reports.
Bug report should have its own section and people that wanted to report something would open a new topic, this would be easier for discussing the topic, kinda hard when a dev asks for a question which was related to a post 3 pages ago.
 
people are so ungrateful... be happy there is a forum at all and somewhat nice people who replay and genuinely wanna help you.
 
im not being ungrateful, im saying it should be a really pain in the ass for devs to find some good bug reports on 40 pages where half is spam, and one quarter is people crying.
 
Some profiles blacklist quests and grind for awhile to then do more quests that it can complete. Have you ever thought of that?

Forums are a bit crap for real bug recording/updating, customer support etc to be fair.

The ideal situation would be to use a proper bug system like QC, TTP, Jira, BugZilla etc, however that comes with a lot of issues in itself:

- You can either pay a lot of money for a tool that's amazing or you can get something pretty basic and often crap! (*cough* BugZilla *cough)
- Unless you have a way of enforcing requirements on bugs you're going to end up with a database filled with crap bug reports that mean nothing or are not repeatable and by the time you get around to checking the bug to fix it, the author also no longer knows what the bug was about.
- Users can't be arsed to search for bugs before they submit them so you'll have a lot of duplicates.

If there's a serious requirement for bug tracking, I'd definitely recommend checking out something like http://getsatisfaction.com/plans (used by Spotify) which is user-friendly, easy to navigate and allows users to also categorise via "Questions", "Ideas", "Problems", "Praise" etc (http://getsatisfaction.com/spotify/problems/common) which seems to be a reasonable price too when compared to the likes of TestTrack Pro and Quality Center which are also good.

If though the devs are happy to trawl through forums that's cool and it's also their prerogative to do so as it's them that have to do the work. :)

Yes I have thought of that. Hawker has said in the past that there is a problem with the questing logic, causing it to ignore quests and grind.
 
i'm using the undead 1-50 profile,and atm(lvl 27),i have 4 quests in my log (all orange),so its grinding on bears and spiders in Tarren mill.Waiting to see if it will go back to quests after they become yellow.

Let me know how you get on. Mine worked quite well for a while then just starting grinding for hours. When i restarted HB it suddenly realised it was supposed to be questing. I have to restart HB every 2-3 hours
