Hello. I have read many threads about this issue, and they were all solved by deleting the caches. I have deleted my Honorbuddy Cache, my World of Warcraft\Cache, my World of Warcraft\Data\Cache, and my C:\ProgramData\Blizzard Entertainment\Battle.net\Cache. This issue still persists. Very annoying, because everyone's "remedy" involves deleting their cache, and I have tried that and a completely fresh HonorBuddy install. Still not working.

Thanks.

you completed any quests manually?

are there any quests in your questlog?

if yes, abandon them clear cache folders again and start Hb

Deleted all my quests in the log and my cache again as you said, issue is still there.

Hi again, Tanner,

The only known cause for your issue is a cache problem.

From your first post:
... my C:\ProgramData\Blizzard Entertainment\Battle.net\Cache...

The directory you are supposed to delete is the entire C:\ProgramData\Blizzard Entertainment\ directory. Please try again to clear your caches. The instructions are here:

Hopefully the issue will be resolved once the correct directories get eliminated.

Deleted the entire Blizzard Entertainment directory and still nothing...

Even if I did do a quest on my own, wouldn't deleting all the caches be enough to fix it?

When people say to delete cache folders, they usually mean to delete the HB cache folders.
If that doesnt work, do a few by hand.

Hi again, Tanner,

Indeed, clearing the caches should put everything right. There is nothing wrong with doing a quest or two on your own. Profiles are written to deal with that.

This is always a cache corruption problem.

I've got one last thing for you to try... delete all your plugins. Don't turn them off, just delete them, or move them out of the Honorbuddy directory tree. Perhaps one is horribly misbehaving. Its a long shot, but a possibility.

Nope..nothing. I don't see what it could be considering it must be a cache issue. Is there no way it could be a profile issue?

There is absolutely no chance its a profile issue. Caching isn't even a profile issue.

The reason that made me suspect plugins, is in your log, the problem starts while Honorbuddy is in the middle of calculating a path to the next destination.

I am very sorry, but I"m completely tapped out of ideas at the moment. Hopefully, another on the Support team may see the issue.

Basically before anything messed up, I let the bot do a few quests in VOTFW. I stopped the bot for a bit, exited and logged onto another character. When I logged back in, it kept trying to pick up the "http://www.wowhead.com/quest=30086" quest which it had already completed. My first instinct was to delete all the cache folders, which I did, but yeah. didn't work. Having deleted my caches and reinstalled HB multiple times, it still tries to pick up the "The Search for the Hidden Master" quest from Xiao.

Thanks!

have you already done?
A Poor Grasp of the Basics - Quest - World of Warcraft

it says you have it, but its not completed. is this true?

if so, then try completing it manually. then starting the bot again.

That's odd. I specifically remember watching the bot do that quest. I even remember vendoring the reward (watermelon trinket). I don't have any quests in my log anyways, Tony told me to try and clear my log earlier.

Upon further looking into the issue, looking at all my quests completed through the battle.net character armory via the guide here, I apparently have not completed the quest, because the ID 30086 is not in my completed quest IDs. Still, very odd, because I cannot pick up the quest though. Is there a way that I can easily take that quest (this) out of the VOTFW profile?

Thanks :)

Hi again, Tanner, and nice research!

Do you have a quest in your log called Chen and Li Li? If so, drop it, then restart Honorbuddy. That is the prerequisite for the quest giving you trouble, and the prerequisite has some serious Bliz bugs.

In fact, it may be a good idea just drop all quests in your log, then restart Honorbuddy.

Worth a shot, anyway.

Thank you :D

That quest is in fact in the list of my completed quests. Not sure why it wouldn't give me The Search for the Hidden Master though.. My log is empty as well. Is there any way to get around it considering I don't have it complete, but the NPC won't give it to me?

you could always edit the profile so it skips over that requirement, that would be the only other thing i can suggest.
if you want to upload a new log, where its trying to get the quest, i can try and tell you what you need to change.
