This is a dedicated thread for all things related to QuestBot. It replaces the old [BETA] QuestBot thread for 2.4.0+.

Guide

QuestBot is a bot-base to complete quests on your characters. It's goal is to manage the questing aspect of Path of Exile. It's setup to be extremely easy to use, and is under constant development to be improved with new features and functionality.

Here is a simple guide for working with QuestBot. As QuestBot is under constant development, this guide might not include the latest features or changes.

To get started, first select QuestBot from the bot combobox. QuestBot is the default bot for Exilebuddy.

Click on the Settings button, and navigate to the Bots -> QuestBot entry. The "Current Quest" dialog will show the quest the bot is currently doing,

The "Optional quests" dialog allows users to disable quests that are not required for progression through acts.

The "Rewards" dialog allows users to choose their reward class, and then which rewards they wish to take.

You can find some extra settings that affect QuestBot in Cross-bot Settings.

Known Issues

There exists a lot of issues with Path of Exile that affect EB in a way where all code does not always work as expected. The same is true of QuestBot.

  • Normal EB stuck issues still apply (small tight terrain where movement overlaps non-existent terrain)
  • Large quest chests, such as the cart in Docks, can result in stuck issues on interaction due to the client not pathfinding to the item correctly.
  • User interaction can mess up navigation on multi-level areas, such as Ancient Pyramid, or multi-phase reward turn-ins such as bandits in Act 2. Please try to minimize intervention when the bot is in the middle of doing stuff.
  • GUI labels can prevent the bot from performing certain actions around Monolith and Strongboxes, portals can overlap items, etc...

Combat settings are located under Routines -> OldRoutine. "Combat Range" and "Max Range Range" are the fields you need to change. For ranger I recommend setting them both to 70.

Log you have posted is not full. According to that chunk everything is ok. Post a full log.
 
The quest bot was amazing. I noticed that it consistently faltered on Daresso, when he does his final bubble and thinks he's dead and leaves. I used it on seven characters and it did that many times. I would find it at the entrance waypoint saying that it was missing his quest item.

How's the connection on those bots. You're interacting with the area transition, and not loading into the new area based on that log.

Oldroutine keep casting spark or similar skills behind objects, questbot considers it as a stuck and keeps relogging very often

everything seems fine it only happens there, I clicked the thing manually and it entered in less than a sec, it seems to not like the transition there not sure yet.
 
so i´ve leveled manual to act 2. where can i tell the quest bot that he should start there with the quest or is he detecting it automatic?

okay. nvm. he started with the quest in act 2 now :D

Just remember that the bot is pretty efficient at knocking out the questlines, if you skip too many optional quests you're going to end up severely underleveled by the time you get to the harder stuff. Bot already ends up a few levels under what one would probably hit A4M in playing by hand, skipping all of those quests could drop another few levels from what you end up at.
 
Can we get the strongbox/box options put into QB like OldGrindBot has? Pretty much the ability to turn off opening every chest. One it slows progress, two there are some builds (namely spark) which can't handle opening strongboxes without getting los stuck 70% of the time (less of an issue post-38 when you can CWDT-dash).
