Q/A for the Honorbuddy MoP Release

Were is the Erro report thread??

BG Buddy gets stuck in Alterac whil loading tiles.. last week it did still work!

99.5% of all software developed has changelogs or descriptions what a patch/new version fixes.
I doubt this community is too stupid to deserve one as well.

On a side note, BOT is getting towards a better day now.

There is two ways to look at the situation now, in my opinion.

1. You are grateful you are allowed to test the early beta/alpha versions of a software the devs are busy on.

2. You were told you bought lifetime key for honorbuddy until "wow doesn't exist, or we're sued" or something along those lines (can't remember) and feel like you are not getting what you paid for because this release takes too long.

both are fair tbh, but it's not helping to whine on the forums. If you are truly interested, maybe you should jump on their irc. See what some of the problems they are facing actually are, and try to understand more of the issues.

I do think a changelog would mitigate a lot of confusion on the forums though. But that is a decision the devs made.

I am more so not happy with the 90% percent figure you only have to go through all the threads about people wanting to see updates, a change log would be easy to implement, and save a lot of issues with in these forums.
Other than that I am really impressed with the state of the bot as of current and I do not agree why people are complaining about it (the ones who do have problems do fail to upload logs a lot of the time which would delay things even more I would imagine) which I can understand with new users. You only have to see other rushed bots out there that do not even compare to HB as far as operational goes, infact the bot is doing many tasks for me, fishing, farming, some dailies (which are mainly profiles that need updating) archaeology I can wait, BG buddy does the job just have to keep a strict eye on it for now. Saying 90% just does not cut it while I do agree with the rest you are saying. Of course they have a nightmare on there end, problem solving issues with codes can not always be an easy task, I can only imagine what one must go through it is still no excuse not to attach a log file though, if the guys are that flat out then it should be known more in these terms: It would have been good to hear, guys we do regret that we can not attach a log file due to the limited amount of time we have on our end while we are trying to push the bot out as fast as we can, we will en devour change logs on future stable releases, then be fed some jargon about 90% crap there is no statistical figure to back that silly statement up. On a more positive note I am happy with the new admin BotOperator and I do welcome him/her to these forums and wish all the best:) We all make mistakes that's what makes us human and not bots.

Every expansion is abit like this, there are lots of changes on blizz side so the bots have to change a lot too. While I agree the bot have been down a long time and can be frustrating for some, I personally much rather they get it right so my account is safe rather then rush things through and mess it up to satisfy some of the less patient peeps. Ty for some reply on the progress of bot update, I think it did a lot to ease the feeling of no knowing whats going on. Keep up the good work
 
Sorry if this had been asked, I'm on my phone at the moment and can't see if it's been answered but can we get a list of working features I feel that the list of unusable features has changed but can't tell.

Please advise

That's what a couple of us has been asking for :P a "Changelog" but don't expect it to be updated tho.
 
Closest we came to getting any news from anyone was Kick, and he's away moving houses. :P
 
Has anyone been having issues with it not mounting the correct mount when not using random? For example, I have it configured to use the Ironbound Protodrake, using the NPC id from wowhead, but the bot mounts the red protodrake consistently.

edit: Actually, it looks to be working correctly when using the name of the drake, but not the npc id.

Yeah, it is because you dont use the NPC ID, you use the Spell ID of the Mount. ;)
 
OK, serious question. What has happened to Kick's updates? At least when this was happening we had some idea of what was going on behind the scenes. Now we have no idea, no idea what should or shouldn't at least be testable. The first page of the release thread is out of date so we can't go there.

Answered all of my questions about the new release, and I sure want a release that works, rather than having something not working. So take your time, make something that'll rock our socks off!
