Hey, I was wondering if DemonBuddy was detectable by PunkBuster. I wanted to play a game that uses PunkBuster as their antihack system while using DemonBuddy in the background, and I didn't want to get banned in that game because PunkBuster detected a third party program.

Was punkbuster used in the early stages of counter-strike before VAC? Sounds so familiar... I doubt it will read DB a hack btw, since DB is not injecting or modifying whatever game you're playing that uses punkbuster.

Assassins Creed uses punkbuster, that's about the only recent-ish game I know.

No valve games use VAC

Battlefield (ea) uses punk buster

you should be ok. Punkbuster is game dependent and looks for known hacks for the game your playing. Only way it would have an issue is if the server admin set pb up to detect demonbuddy.exe. Then it would only be a server ban no pb ban but why would they set it up to detect it.

Of course valve games use VAC mainly, but most server owners use a Punkbuster plugin to increase security against cheaters... Counter0strike uses it, black ops uses it, TF2 uses it , HL2 uses it... pretty much every game in valve uses it

how can server admins use punk buster if evenbalance has not made a version for there game.

PunkBuster Online Countermeasures

no steam made game uses punkbuster and no call of duty game past world at war uses punkbuster.

Punkbuster is great, I used to aim bot my way all over pb servers without any detection. Ah yeah, BF3 uses it too, that's right.

You understand Punkbuster, just like ANY detection program, can only scan the game memory, it is against the law for it to scan anything other than the game it is going for. So therefore, DB would not be in your games memory, therefore, it won't see it.

i remember when it did a full memory scan. You could send a message on any chat program to somone playing with the hash code of a detected cheat and they would get banned.

It used to scan your whole hard drive for hacks, even the ones you wouldn't have on iirc back when CS 1.6 was cool.

it dosnt matter since honorbuddy, demonbuddy, buddywing, and tankleader all stay in their own processes. so theres no reason why they would be on a punkbuster anti-cheat programs to look for list. i bot and play tf2 all the time, you will be fine.

The ones saying it only scans the process memory have no clue LOL
Guys check APB online.

pb can and does do scans on full harddrives. Every user agrees to it when they install it. Its in the Eula

In PunkBuster's EULA, PunkBuster notes they may be considered invasive, and that they reserve the right to inspect someone's entire harddrive and all of their files: "Licensee understands and agrees that the information that may be inspected and reported by PunkBuster software includes, but is not limited to, Licensee's Internet Protocol Address, devices and any files residing on the hard-drive and in the memory of the computer on which PunkBuster software is installed." "Further, Licensee consents to allow PunkBuster software to transfer actual screenshots taken of Licensee's computer during the operation of PunkBuster software for possible publication." "Licensee agrees that any harm or lack of privacy resulting from the installation and use of PunkBuster software is not as valuable to Licensee as the potential ability to play interactive online games with the benefits afforded by using PunkBuster software."

Still it is unlikely to be banned playing a game while botting d3

You are safe 100%, i used to bot wow and play cb and league matches in cod2 and cod4 with various programs like tzac 1,2 , xray, ESL wire anticheat and some other shit and it never detected HB as unwanted program.
Also like said they don't do nothing that would impact the game u will play along with botting so the anticheat that will run in background won't scan for it as its has nothing to with that game. Not to mention that scanning your computer for non running hacks/bots is not legal and it would slow the game so badly it would be unplayable to scan your whole computer.
So bot along!

Using PB as anticheat is like practice coitus interruptus.
