I'm an old glider user who has just returned to wow(and botting) after a long hiatus. I'm loving how easy it is to set up and even create your own (simple) profiles, but the one thing that prevents me from using the bot a lot is the fact that it looks a lot like a bot when it is pulling. I'll try to describe both what happens and what I want the bot to do instead.
What happens:
1. Bot finds a target while on a mount, starts moving towards it
2. 45~ yards from the target the bot stops and waits for a brief moment (this looks unnatural)
3. The bot dismounts
4. The bot starts moving towards the target, pulling when it comes within range
Looking at honorbuddy youtube videos and talking to the friends who got me interested in botting again they all seem to observe the exact same thing. Before it stops at 45 yards it always has a move command to the mob, but for some reason it stops. From what I understand what happens is that at PullDistance(45 yards), the bot tells the CR to take control and begin attacking. I do not know if it is the BotBase who stops and dismounts first before handing over control or if this is something that the CR decides to do. Considering WoW will automatically dismount when an action is taken(spell, attack), I think it would be better for the bot to never dismount at all. This looks more natural and human-like.
What I think will look more natural:
1. Bot finds a target while on a mount, starts moving towards it
2. At PullDistance(45~ yards), tell the CR to take control without dismounting - and still moving towards the target.
3. While still mounted begin attack rotation when it is within range or a preset range:
For some classes this would be the first ability used - Charge, DG, Judgement, an insta-cast DoT etc.
For classes like rogues and druids this would be the the range where the bot shifts into catform and/or goes into stealth.
I'd love some input on this. If someone has found a way to make the bot more human-like I would love to hear it.
Regards,
Knudi
