Greetings community!

Here is what I've heard and feel is a replacement to farming Ghom. Not only is his HP on T6 a third of Ghom's, but he is eternally easier to kill and you don't need to be nearly as geared.

Tormented BEHEMOTH
T6 Hit Points: 570 - 630mil
Unique Leg Mat drop: Human Cartilage

T6 Event rewards
120,530 gold
14,790,000 exp (18,487,500 exp with bonus pool)

How to get this profile to run afkable?
  • Start a Campaign game on Act 1 Quest 9 Part 2 "Enter the Cursed Hold".
  • Waypoint to Halls of Agony Level 2 (Private version has a checkpoint grabber, PM me for more details)
  • Go to Highland Passage and then leave game, change to Torment Level 6 (or the difficulty your character can handle).
  • Profit.

There are mobs spawning from the middle. If character runs to the other side of the pit to kill these mobs AFTER it kills the Tormented BEHEMOTH then it will hearth out before it talks to the npc.

This is the effect of having your mob pack radius too high. Out of 6 hours of runs on my accounts, I've only seen it happen a few times but it still always went to go free merhan..

k so i did this manually just to see how well it did, now granted my highest dps toon atm is my dh, with 1.6m with ss, 860k without, pretty nice gear, not super high end either, my frost arrow spec with all frost damage and +elemental arrow etc, along with some uniques and set items etc

First off, the event doesnt spawn every time, took me 3 tries to get it to be an event game, pop in, pop out, found it, on T4 i killed him in a minute or 2, maybe less, it wasnt super fast but it wasnt bad either i guess, he's super slow, i backed into a corner and my wolfe companion tanked him, and i just pew pew till he died, no danger to myself

At T4 i got like 7.5m xp and 65k gold...hardly worth it, even if it was every game, maybe but again this is meant for a bot, so i guess if you did this enough times per hour, be ok? at paragon 205, i need almost 300m xp so to do this to get any sort of xp levels i'd have to run this thing @ t4...40+ times...so even if it was 1 in 3 tries per game, at best (rng)

ok so spend 15 seconds, in and out, thats 1 min, k so another maybe 2 min to kill or less, so 3 min so in an hour at best can get say 20-30 games in, so thats not even 1 level per hour, and the gold at t4, 40 kills would only be a measly 2.4m gold, for almost 2 hours of work, its semi-ok, but for this to be viable for anything higher, you'd have to have a beast dps toon, cuz even my 1.6 (ss) dh cant kill this dude in 15 seconds or less, just not going to happen, even in semi-decent gear

thats my problem with ghom one too, i see people killing him in 15 seconds or less, on t2/t3 takes me minutes, its rediculous, not sure how they do it, i'm guessing not use dh cuz dh sucks for these speed dps runs, mostly barb i see, a 1.5m barb with cooldowns will melt anything, then maybe...maybe it would be worth it on t6 for this run...but if you have a setup like mine on my dh, this isnt worth it really, takes far to long to find a game, kill him and repeat

In comparison, hellrift t2/t3 i speed clear on same toon and make 1.5m an hour, and 300m xp an hour ish, and its better for gems, random loot, occasional legendary, or i do act 4 bounties on t1, make even more than hellrifts almost, and i get way better drops and stuff for my time, in 10 hour runs i average 8-10 levels a night 8-10 legs in my stash

using barb t6. sometimes doesnt attack bejemoth at all after talking to merham or whatever the npc is.

often engages with white zombies (why not simply blacklist them completely?) i know that is some trinity settings related but cannot optimise it since they sometimes spawn a bit earlier than behemoth and get into my path.

happened twice that after killing and freeing npc, he did not interact at all with anything, just standing there and gold timer.

strange stuff :/

It was a quickly made profile, that was working and then a bunch of db updates hit. This is not very high on my list to fix but will be done soonish. Make doubly sure your db/trinity settings are appropriate for this kind of run. (i.e. handful of mobs, single target, etc.) so your build/gear/mob pack #/pull range/interact range are all appropriately set.
