Proximate botting?

Hey all,

Just wondering if anyone has heard of being banned from benefiting from bots without botting yourself. So if I had an alternate account that ran bounties, my main account (non-botting) would just join in when the bounties were done.

No one knows how they find out if you bot or not, if it's ip based or not. I've done what you are describing without getting my main account(non-botted) banned while my bot account did get banned. But do it on your own risk, anything is possible while botting on an ip. The safest would be if you had two external IP lines to be honest. Quite a hustle though.

Thanks a ton A few other questions I have, feel free to answer (or not...I can imagine this might be prying a bit)

(1) Did you use separate machines? (read something about MAC fingerprinting in the past)
(2) Were your accounts linked in any way? (purchasing CC, names, etc.)
(3) Did you use two IPs?
