Protected Items - help needed

hi all, does anyone know how to completely empty what id being protected and the just lode the main protected items xml file any help from devs / anyone familiar with the coding would be appreciated.

this could be a good candidate for an overide and then i could integrate dynamic quest item protection into my plugin
