In a questing profile is it possible to start a quest from an item you looted and is in your bag, you know the kind that says "this item begins a quest"? Is this possible and if so what is the syntax?

Thanks.

Your response is completely baffling to me, it is not even a complete sentence or grammatically coherent. Since you took the time to respond at all I'll ask you: what the hell are you talking about?

its called a LINK you click it and it makes the page your viewing turn into another page with the information your looking for.

Lol, do I fee stupid, sorry I did not go beyond just looking at the words, and the link was not a different color or anything on my system.

So, I read that link, and have seen that info before, but twice now while botting I've looted items that say "this item begins a quest" and the quest is not automatically started like is suggested by the profile writing wiki. Was this feature part of HB before HB2? It does not seem to work this way now, unless I am missing something. The wiki is saying that if you pickup on item and it goes in your bag and that item begins a quest your char will automatically receive that quest? It does not currently work this way in HB2.

The short answer, is "you can't do quests that are offered by Iems at the moment".

Honorbuddy used to automatically accept quests that items offered; however, it no longer does that.

Coincidentally, I asked Nesox about this very topic just last night. I wanted to know the modern "Pattern" a Profile Writer would use to claim and execute quests offered by dropped items. He bluntly stated that there is no way to do that right now.

I know what needs to be done, and it can all be handled through CustomBehavior. Alas, I lack the skills at the moment to make that happen.

My advice is to keep the quest in your profile, but comment it out for now. Hopefully, the mechanisms to do this will eventually arrive.

Sorry for the bad news,

Thanks. It is too bad that it used to work and now doesn't. I'm writing a questing profile in Winterspring and the dropped item starts a 10 quest chain, sucks that I miss out on 10 quests. So, I guess you would have to write a C++ program file and refer to it in CustomBehavior? Anyone out there interested in writing such a program? :)

Thanks for the update chinajade.
