Professions While Leveling?

Which 2 professions do you select while leveling please? I would think most of use choose Mining and Herbalism for easy experience and resources, but isn't that a dead giveaway to Blizzard that you're botting? Presently I select only one gathering profession and another non-gathering profession.

I'd like to hear your thoughts and look at poll results to see what you do. Thanks in advance for your participation!

how is it a dead giveaway? Looking on the official forums, people who are trying to get realm first 90 achievements also get herb/mining professions because it speeds up leveling period, botting or not.

I go tailoring for the extra cloth, and skinning, because the leather from thick on sells for 50+ gold a stack on my server.

Skinning is always the best profession while leveling period, Most monsters you kill white questing are beasts which can be skinned for a couple extra copper.

Why is skinning better than Herbalism or Mining?

I like to lvl profs at 90

i think skinning is better than herb/mine because hb will skip alot nodes when questing/grinding, while it will skin all animals.

I do mining and herbs but I find I often out level the area I'm in before I level up the correct professions skill to move to the new zone so I'm often stuck on 100+ish until I go back and grind it up. I don't know if skinning is the same but I'm guessing you'll skin more mobs that you'd mine/collect herbs so it probably makes sense to do that if you're not fussed which one you take.

More often than not I don't bother with professions until I've reached 70 and can get a fast flying mount then I go back and do them to break up the levelling process from time to time.

As this is my first character on realm, I'm leveling it with Mining+Herbalsim for 3 reasons:

1. Gold. Your character will loot every single node and herb. So get an bank alt with big bags and AH everything you gather. I'm now 70 and I can easily afford myself buying the 280% fly mount and other stuf for the money I got from gathering.
2. Extra EXP. As I don't have heirlooms (guild's 10% exp only) - it gives me a lot of EXP to level faster.
3. Perks. Lifeblood - Spell - World of Warcraft - is very usefull. ShamWOW's CC uses it constantly. Toughness - Spell - World of Warcraft - extra HP.

To make more gold with Min+Herb - be sure to check "Harvest Minerals" and "Harvest Herbs" and to put the loot radius to 100. Also be sure to take this professions at level 5 and fill your character with big (16+) bags. And finally, be in a 23+ guild for Bountiful Bags - Spell - World of Warcraft.

P.S. As I believe - running for nodes and herbs - breaks the leveling profile pattern a little, so it would be harder for Blizzard to detect you.
