download and install both of these, once your done restart your pc.

Ill let the log speak for its self... i just did a fresh instal of windows xp, net framework inst and updated, service packs updated, video drivers updated... all should go a green light here... installed diablo and booted with no problems...

btw,there was no need for a new OS installation
