I use Demonbuddy on my desktop PC at home with Windows 10 all the time. No issues there. So I know how it's supposed to work. I've used it on this laptop as well in the past, but not recently.
Last night I reinstalled Diablo 3. I made sure Battlenet is set to load the 32bit client. I copied the DB directory off my desktop PC to a hard drive, and then copied the directory onto my laptop. Tried to run it several times and kept getting an error message that Demonbuddy can not rename itself?
So I deleted the copied directory and downloaded a fresh installer from this site. The install said it completed successfully, but when I try to run Demonbuddy.exe I get
Demonbuddy was unable to rename itself on startup: The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process.
In my task manager, I dont see any DB Processes running.
Ideas?
Thanks!
