I'm aware that many people run their d3 in vm's for cloaking purposes and I just wonder if any of them have run into this problem with the ptr client. Are you saying that you don't support vm's, therefore don't ask this question, or that the HB staff cannot answer it because you don't support it?
What I said was that we don't support virtual machines, period.
We won't try to help you with a VM problem.
If you get it to work on your own and think it actually benefits you, then that's great.
Our products are not designed to run in virtual environments and will not bug fix anything from within a VM.
regular diablo client works fine. ptr client works but shows a blank screen except for the mouse cursor. sounds fine and if you know where to click you can click stuff too.
apparently you can just use "OnlineService.PTR=true -launch" in the command line for the executable to get 2 instances of the ptr running, no need for vm. Which solves my current problem but it still bugs me that I can't get it to work right in the vm.
