Problem: Repair Run - Bot Suiciding.

Woke up to find the bot had been running my toon into the ocean and killing him two hours straight.

Instead of going north to Sholazar, the bot is going south for repair...

Debug is attached but I noticed that it was saying: "[4:18:33 AM:703]:http sync is lagging!"

Repeat deaths start at about 4am in the debug file.

Attached the current profile also. I have been running this profile for a good 3-4 days, 12+ hours per day without this problem. I have also seen the bot die in this location before without any problems.

UPDATE - OCTOBER 16, 2010
I hadn't had any more suicide deaths until the past two days. After 2-3 of them today I decided to test some things out and I found the root of the problem which may need to be fixed on GB's end. Read on...

First of all, this path had a flaw at this Goldclover node where there are a butt-ton of mobs and he was dying, at which point he would rez, and pretty much go back to the same node, die again, etc, causing the toon to have to start the repair journey in the southern part of Borean Tundra (which is where the suiciding starts). So I blacklisted it to solve that problem.

I stopped the bot, went north, started it again, over and over while on low durability to see where the bot is messing up (Trying to repair in the ocean to the south versus going to Sholazar Basin to the north to repair) The following professional diagram explains the problem.

I dont know if the "suicide equator" runs across the whole zone or just that area. I only tested from Riplash Strand up to where the green line is when the bot started doing the correct repair journey.

To be honest, I was asleep while the bot was going. Currently, my latency is normal, and is not lagging. I reset the bot, manually repaired, and I'll see if anything else happens.

The "http sync is lagging" error occurs over and over and over throughout this specific instance.
 
I woke up yesterday to find one of my bots in the same spot.
But I don't have the debug file anymore.
 
Ran the bot the rest of the night with no problems.

Ran the bot this afternoon, left for errands, came back and the bot has been suiciding since I left.

According to the debug file, it tried to go because my inventory was full, it was not. Since then it has been going for repairs, to the middle of the ocean.

Can I please get an explanation as to why this is happening all of a sudden?

I am going to disable my Arkinventory bag addon to see if that may have been causing a problem. I restarted the bot with it still on to see if it bugged out in the same manner and it didn't, but I will give it a try anyway.
 
Everything went fine last night with all addons disabled. (which I should probably have done in the first place)

Woke up again this morning with the bot suiciding for three hours.

If the bot needs repair or gets full bags in the marked area, you're screwed in Borean Tundra.

No response to this thread in a long time. I guess support has failed and I'll just go make a profile in another zone and hope it isn't screwed up like this zone.
 
Daily bump. Still no reply about this problem affecting half of a zone.
 
cant help you fix it but i can confirm this happens to me as well, not often but sometimes the bot just decides to fly to kalimdor for repairs. only happens if it starts doing a repair sequence in lower borean, wich is especially frustrating since im alliance and it should just go to valiance keep.

Bad thing also is that it does it when you have full bags to mail loot to the bank alt. Really sucks and I love my profile but I made another, not as good in Sholazar but will get better with tweaking.
 
Confirming that this happens to me as well.

Happened regularly to my bots when I tried out the "Ultimate" profile to the point that I had to give up using it altogether and go back to the "Safe" one to avoid Borean.
 
quite bad that this guy is posting logs he is supposed to identifying problems drawing diagrams and only one post from a mod/admin confirming they are investigating/getting to the problem/no how it has happened. just think it is bad thats all he is doing everything properly and getting no response. Now let the flame wars begin :-)

I welcome a flame war. If someone can make something up to start one, please do. Maybe a mod will finally look into the thread.

No seriously, maybe they're just busy with the current patch problems. I'd just like to get some sort of acknowledgment though.
 
Yeah I'm having the same problem. Atm I just won't leave my drood farming overnight (he's only level 70 atm, but now that herbing gives xp I figured I'd start him farming).
 
Oh really? I thought the gathering xp was getting turned on in Cata. It is on now?
 
In your first post you say you fixed it by blacklisting a node. Is that still correct?

They've been busy with HB release non-stop that I know of. Good luck to them. Lots of changes to HB from what I've read.
