Is there any way to create a mesh/profile that will properly farm caves? I hace tried a few meshes now and they have failed. The bot keeps trying to run up the wall to get to the next spot. I have tried creating the mesh to just run along a path instead of all over the place and it doesn't work either?

Any help would be appreciated.

It's theoretically possible but the terrain in caves is very unforgiving. Meshes don't dictate a set path for your character. They serve more as a guideline for areas your character should be able to move through. The discrete open areas in caves are so close together that HB doesn't realize that your character can't get from one waypoint to another because of the huge freaking wall in the way. It assumes that since they are so close your character can essentially hop from one path onto the next. This is one of the features that makes HB so much better than a standard bot. It helps to generate the illusion of "random" motion into your pathing.

I would say avoid caves when making meshes. Your better off topside anyway.

Mh I maybe see 2 things in there.

First is the point that caves (instances) are generated and I think they don't have a normal coordinatesfield. I think they work like "instance 1 copy 1 coords 1 <- 1st enter, instance 2 copy 2 coords 1 [or2]". You think that you are in the same place but you aren't :P

The other thing are the walls. I think you have to set ALL (yes all) walls as a blacklistfield. That would be damn much work for only one instance.

Not to mention almost impossible to navigate. Doesn't setting a point as "blacklisted" also blacklist the area around it in a 30yd circle?

I mean the whole walls or things you can't walk through. If you point or area it, dosn't metter - it's to much of work

I tend to agree, but maybe there is an easy way I just don't know about yet.

If you want to farm in caves you need to do the following (Tested and works)

Low HB Pull distance to about 10;
Make your own mesh and profile, Making sure you mesh as close to the middle of the path as possible.

Then two combos alone will reduce chance of getting stuck and the lower pull distance will help to stop you targeting mobs on the other side of a wall

If there was a method to choose an arc around your character to make auto-node connections while mapping, that would solve the issue. Have it only connect to nodes that are within 30 degrees of your characters back and 30 degrees of your front, then just navigate the cave with your character the mesh shouldn't run through walls anymore.

Mh well I don't want to destory your idear but in this minute I remember a importend thing: You can only start 5 (+-1) instances per hour.

not all caves are instances tho. there are quite a few actually that aren't, at least in northrend. i do know what you're talking about tho...
