[PAID] [Priest] Insanity - An Advanced Honorbuddy Shadow Priest Routine [PvE/PvP]

Does anybody here have some RBG settings they would be willing to share? Just slightly more tuned for RBG's as Shadow would be greatly appreciated! I'm 2.1k with Default settings but feel there is far more potential!

turn off auto shield/renew, etc and use them manually

I might be retarded, but why is streamed store routine still runs svn import on the old svn server and downloads the old revision 137 into the routine folder ?

Edit: I see you've removed the checkbox, but i use my old settings file so the functionality is still there.
<AutoSVNUpdate>True</AutoSVNUpdate>

Is there a way to add target party member for Mind Sear target ? this would increase dps in fights where there are many small health adds being spawned(immerseus, sha) ? Like nearest melee to the adds, preferrably tank

Hey - Yeah the SVN thing is a mistake. Removing in the next update.

I've thought about changing mind sear to do that - would require a lot of work to change the routine to cast a 'damage' spell onto a friendly target. Will probably add it in eventually, but it's not super critical at the moment. Focus is on updating for 6.0 currently.

Bloody effin brilliant on that mesmerize guise. No joke.

Cool :)

Hello, where can I find profiles for shadow priest or do I use the default profil with the plugin Insanity Advanced ?

Are you talking about default settings files? Like for PvE / PvP? If so - there's a button in the lower left of the GUI with a page to download the files.

Cheers

Im stupid or something? This combat doesnt work for me can someone help me out how to set it up please.

Am I missing a setting, or does this routine completely ignore the typical "insanity" shadow priest rotation? I'll get to full orbs, cast devouring plague (either myself or the rotation will do it), and then the rotation will start re-upping dots, mind blasting for god knows what reason, and THEN maybe it will start to mind flay. If I try and manually mind flay it cancels it about 1 second in, does some other stuff, then starts mind flaying again after the insanity buff is gone.

Implying your proposed rotation is better than the current implementation.
It's not.

I'm not implying "my" rotation is better. I'm talking about a standard rotation that anyone who takes the insanity talent would use unless they are brain dead. Why else would you take the talent? It specifically states that damage from mind flay is upped while devouring plague is active, so why would it not mind flay after casting devouring plague? That's the burst in the "insanity" build. That's why you build up 3 orbs. Literally... that's the entire point of the mechanic.

I realize this might be confusing because this rotation pack is called Insanity, but ignore that. I'm talking about the talent in the game and it's entire purpose.

Standart rotation implies that once MB is off CD you cast it without regard to MF:I, the only exception is double SWD.
Also this

The author of that post says this in the comments:

"There's not normally an optimal time for you to refresh dots when DP is up. Sometimes things get really crazy and there will be exceptions, but in general the big take away from this post is that it's better to refresh your dots before you hit DP. Remember that you can hold DP until right before MB comes back off CD with minimal loss, so often times it's an increase in DPS to wait on DP until you've taken care of your dots. It can be even better to take care of your dots before your third orb, though. Almost always if you find yourself needing to refresh dots during DP then you could have planned things out better previously and should work on noticing when you're about to get 3 orbs and already start looking at how many dots you have that you should refresh now because you're about to get a third orb and start DP + insanity. Hope this helps!"

That's pretty clear to me.

To make this a bit more clear: The rotation is currently using about 2 seconds of DP time if I'm lucky. That's ridiculous. Maybe I need more haste or something, that could be part of the problem, but there should at least be some kind of option to not interrupt mind-flay when DP has been applied and you have the insanity talent. At the moment I don't have that option unless I don't use this rotation at all.

That's pretty clear to me.
The routine does exactly that, refreshes dots before DP. The only exception is when there is a huge amount of dots that needs to be refreshed(in cleave/aoe) then there is no use holding off DP as you're delaying Orb generation.
DP in itself is a pretty potent DoT and not just a gate to MF:I

I think we're mostly on the same page here, as I completely agree with you on this.

What I'm trying to say is that during the few arenas and about a dozen BG's I've run since trying out this rotation, I've not gotten a single successful full MF:I off. It gets interrupted every single time. I just turned off the AOE setting completely; my hunch is that is the problem (which you alluded to as well). The rotation is trying to AOE constantly and can't focus when it's time to burst someone down (even if I hit my burst key).

Maybe I'm doing something wrong, as I like I said I generally agree with what you're saying, but at the moment with this rotation the Insanity talent seems like a waste (and it's my favorite way to play shadow priest, so it also makes me sad). I'm about to find out if turning off AOE completely solves this (I can manually spread dots around, that's not a problem at all).
