[PAID] [Priest] Insanity - An Advanced Honorbuddy Shadow Priest Routine [PvE/PvP]

Anyone care to share their optimal PVP settings? Friend of mine just bought this and I'm having a hard time discussing what should and shouldnt be selected for his routine. Thanks in advance :)

Its multi dot working?? I configure about 2 or more enemys, but i never see that use in more enemys, only in my focus. I have Premium version

I use settings for PVE

Introducing - Insanity!

Insanity is a PvE and PvP combat routine for Shadow Priests. Discipline and Holy specializations are not supported (check out Richie's CRs, or Oracle if you're after routines for these specializations!).

Supports;

- PvE
- PvP
- User Controlled Bot Bases (Tyrael / LazyRaider / Raidbot etc) - the free version attached to this post does not support Movement/Targeting/Facing.
- Shadow Specialization

Thanks;
Quick thanks to all of the PureRotation devs for help/support/guidance, and to xsilverdicex for advice and PvP logic (blame him when something goes wrong!).

The SVN details are included within the .zip file attached to the post - download, update, enjoy!
So Millz, do you have talent and glyph suggestions to use with this? I know these things are now interchangeable for each fight, but just a general "all around" best set of talents and glyphs to use. I haven't touched my shadow priest in ages, and apparently all my talents and glyphs got reset, so I'm just following Icy Veins, but I know some people build their routines with a particular build in mind that's usually the "better" set of talents and glyphs to choose.

Make sure AoE is enabled, and check the max units to DoT values (uhh.. and minimum HP values). Post a log file :)

Good place to test it is on target dummies.

Try something like this: Mists of Pandaria - Talent Calculator - World of Warcraft

Any used this for arena? Results?

i've used it some for 2s/3s and it's as good as any other shadow CR that i'm aware of, but TBH i just don't think spriests and locks can be automated as well as a straight forward mongo-dmg class that has a simple roll like a DK. i've been a duelist lock and 2k DK since before i even knew bots existed, and controlling a dk bot manually doing my own CC's is MUCH more effective than controlling a lock or spriest bot. i don't think it's because the CR isn't good, just the mechanics of how the class works is very hard to automate. there's no way a bot can know when to stop doing spread rot dmg and focus on single target burst while CCing - the AI just isn't sophisticated enough. a dk and warrior's natural rotation isn't that effected by spreading bleed/dot dmg and they can continue to do crazy single target dmg.

some of the spriest CR's have hotkeys to "burst", but it just doesn't work for me as well as just doing it myself. after multiple attempts to really like this and Richie's, i always end up getting annoyed about not being able to coordinate finishers with the bots and playing the dot classes myself. you can disable like every feature other than just having it dot whoever you target and you can control everything else, but that kind of defeats the purpose of botting. i'm combining the lock and spriest CR's together cuz my opinion of them is the same.

having said this, i will say that if you're not a higher level player, find it difficult to get 1750 manually - i can almost guarantee the CR will play better than you on full auto-mode. i know this from experience cuz i've played for years with a RL friend who is a bad spriest, and Insanity is way better than him lol.

if you are content just destroying the dmg meters and hogging killing blows in random bg's, this CR is amazing. i wanna say i almost hit 30M dmg once in an ideal temple bg where i stood in the middle the whole match with a healbot on me, spam dotting the entire map.

I think that's pretty fair what you've said. My routines aim to automate nearly all of the combat, with the option to turn off certain abilities. To get good ratings you need to be pretty skilled in playing SP's by hand, and leaving the routine to do the base DPS stuff (like keeping DoTs up), and then controlling the utility ability manually. Fully automated you'll get ~1800ish without too much trouble, but you aren't going to get to 2k+.

Something broken with usage of VT?
Lvl 36 now and noticed its not using VT at any time (premium ver.)

Reduce the minimum HP value;

Shadow_VTMinimumHealthValue: 6000000

Currently set to 6mill minimum HP before it'll cast.

Hello

In the thread of millz warlock routine someone made a awesome guide for optimal setting for LFR, Normal and some heroic.
especially the settings at the "Shadow" tab are bit confusing for me since im really bad at math and english isnt my native language.
Maybe someone can give me some numbers for LFR and normal or some advice how to change them to fit my gear.

I ran thru the topic and didnt see these informations so if i missed them, please link them ;)

thx

You can probably use the same values for VT / SWP as Immolate's figures. Should be roughly correct.

Cheers

I can't have auto target on because when I get in combat, it will pull mobs that are off to the side not involved in our combat.

Also, the silence thing isn't working. Regardless of me having it off or not, it still silences to interrupt stuff in SoO

Premium. Only 2 problems I have.

Someone has a good configuration for SoO heroic progression ?

I don't - but are there any settings in particular you're unsure about configuring?

Hey - The targeting thing is weird - have you got a log file? It's very careful about only selecting units that are attacking the party already.

I've pushed a fix for silencing SoO units. It now works off the 'silence healer' option.

Can you add so that the routine doesnt cast Angelic Feather on you if you have the Nitro Boost buff from engineering belt enchant (buff id is 54861) ? They dont stack so it wastes feathers.

Sure - done :). Update from SVN.

After using Demonic, it seems like the Shadowburn sniping as Destro is a lot more effective than it is as Shadow with Shadow Word: Death.

Also for some reason the bot won't automatically dot up weapons on Heroic Garrosh.

The only difference between shadowburn + SWD is the cancel cast logic. I'll add this into Insanity.

I'll need a log for desecrated weapons - the code looks fine from what I can see.
