i know the cr already does it but as you know timing in arena's is everything.
 
Well my LFR attempts were a cluster-fuck and didnt generate any decent info.

Will be trying again this week plus flex.

Any thoughts re:best spec to run this CR with?

The relative value of the talents changes with your gear:

  • until you reach Tier 14 Heroic gear,

Hey mate, I've done some lfr and have some logs aside. The AOE is much improved and the things I noticed were:
A) on occasion it would be trying to cast fire nova without an active flame shock
B) it doesn't always lava lash before a fire nova
C) on the pull with lots of adds it was quick and AOE was alright but when mobs were added to the fight (eg self reflection on sha of pride) it was slow to react if at all
D) I can get significantly more dps than the bot on AOE, for the above reasons and because I will know that they are coming and to hold off on a lava lash for 3 seconds etc.

I will be trying to get a flex tonight (in about 3-4 hours) and will post some decent logs then. I've tested some more against other routines (PR and Tuan) and this is still the best for me. I still need to run some sim craft to get my best gear set up but I'm getting between 105-120 on most "normal" fights at ilvl 519 - although this feels about 10% less than what I should be getting at this gear level.

Here is an LFR log from tonight. Lei Shen. This one just went really badly from the start. I let the bot go and didnt interfere. Didn't pop CD's at the start, was not prioritising Elemental Blast > Lightning bolt. Total DPS was <60k.
The next fight i did (animus) was much better, but was still only 90k. It didnt AoE the mobs (not sure if this is logic for Animuc LFR cos it IS the right thing to do, but everyone AOE's in LFR anyway) and had the same issues with popping CD's and using elemental blast.

PS i didnt Iron Qon by hand and was 140k+
 
Ah, god like. I finally got some weapon upgrades and did some simming to redo my gear and spec. 196k on Sha of Pride at 528ilvl with 2 x Softfoot's Last Resort and a Assurance of Conequence. It's still a little slow to react as an AOE CR when add's JOIN the combat, but when they are there before the combat starts it's quick.

I'm only waiting for HB update until I do some fixes.
 
How is this reacting to the newest HB update?

I do plan on rewriting it from scratch.
 
It's still top of the tables from what I can tell. Aoe is exceptional, banged out over 650k the other night. Only seems to fall be on metre cheesing fights like nazgrim when the adds are still up.

I haven't compared since the new HB but haven't noticed a drop in DPS from this CR so I haven't looked again at the others (if it ain't broken, don't fix it).

I have recently changed my resto spec to Ele though, and the CR (like all current Ele CRs) is sluggish, casting 2-3 lightning bolts when lava burst/elemental blast is available. Totem choice and uptime is good tho.

Fixed Lightning Bolts properly. It now checks if Lava Burst is on cooldown or if we have elemental blast talent and it's on cooldown.

Nice one. I've just been testing on the dummy this morning and rotationally it's spot on, but there doesn't seem to be anything coded for using fire elemental totem or earth elemental totem, also it won't use Ascendance either.
 
Wow! Used for enhancement only on 1 lfr run and this is great.
Is there any eta for a non-beta release? and why is this a beta? looks finished.
