Possibility of Royal Satchels with Gatherbuddy bans

So, something I found interesting is the following. I've been using a Gatherbuddy in MoP, it's been fine for the past 2 weeks, had 3 Imbued Netherweave Bags (16 slots) and a Grummlepack (22 slot), it was a fresh 90 all green gear and basically I was botting 14+ hours per day alongside my AHbuddy, they'd be on as long as I'd be awake and when I'd go to sleep that's when I'd put them on breaks. I decided to shell some gold on Royal Satchels yesterday and once my gatherer had 4x Royal Satchels equipped, in under 12 hours my gatherer account was banned. Normally I'd just say this is a coincidence but I don't exactly know, I definitely find it a bit odd though.
 
Is there such a thing as a royal tin-foil hat? might help
 
It's been common knowledge since botting was created that purple bags = instaban.
 
Maybe the 14 hours of botting a day led to the ban, not the bags?
 
Alot of legits prob use the bags aswell and I do too I believe on 1 of my accounts and that 1 isn't banned I think.

Most likely I think you were flagged and the ban came 2 weeks 14 hours a day is prob why you got banned.
 
No. You were banned for using GB, nothing else. The ban section has always been flooded with GB bans, look back through any time period and the majority of the ban threads are GB.

Yes but the past 2-3 months have been pretty bad compared to before but I agree.
 
I know that the amount I botted was a reckless amount, I just find it interesting that literally under 12 hours after equipping a full set of the Royal Satchels the ban came. Just thought it was curious and wanted to share it with everyone else.
 
i read this and have not removed my purple bags and NOT been banned, thanks for the advice.
 
Yeah I don't possibly see how Blizzard could justify this as a way to ban someone or even look further into their account. Especially because the satchels really aren't that expensive; they're totally affordable by normal means.
