[POOL] Diablo 2 or Diablo 3 - Best Diablo game

Man I remember in Diablo 2 the best thing was to make almost infinite combinations using Horadric Cube with magical items and runes or gems. Common, I have a 100 pages pdf files with all possible combinations for the Cube, and was awesome. Continuing farming for the proper set or missing runes was 1 million more fun than this D3 wild goose chase for gold and stuff....Good times!
Diablo 2 will forever be my favorite game of all time. Diablo though in general, back in the early hellfire days, is where it all started for me. UO, DAoC, AO, Shadowbane, diablo 2, WoW, Rift, Eve, AoC, Tera, Lineage, L2, EQ, EQ2, Vanguard: SoH (A friggin awesome mmo that died due to a ruined economy) Every friggin F2P MMO under the sun... it all stemmed from Diablo. I am actually re-installing Diablo 2, just in-case D3 fails me. My dream though? That D3 will live; patches, expansions, time... hopefully will make this into a game that lasts as long as d2 has.
One thing people should remember is that Diablo II didn't really get good (or, frankly, the game we remember) until the Lord of Destruction expansion.
D2 was a good game, it was LoD that made it great. I expect the same to be true for D3. I have lots of issues with the game as it is now, but I have faith that Blizzard will fix their game.

That pretty much summarizes everything today, from the shit TV programming, plastic cars and fillers in food. Seriously, what's with all these horrible computer animated cartoons? Maybe its just the shit writing, because ReBoot wasn't all that bad.

I also liked the Diablo 2 characters. They were looking much more realistic, not like this stupid demon hunter that shoots arrows faster than a Vulcan anti-tank gun or witch doctor bs. I remember on D2 playing fire wizard, while my friend was a fire wizard and other was lighting. Now you can change skills anytime...I want my amazon back, I want my paladin back, I want my druid back so I can summon an army of skeleton mages, etc ,etc. Is it me or the characters in D3 are that flat?!
Diablo3 is made so your grandparents with no gaming experience can get at the comp, spend $200-300 on some high dps weapon with ANY other ok armory and play the game without any problems even through inferno.
Diablo2 had (still have as many people keep playing it) skill trees, character builts, complex (in a good sense) items, calculations, RUNES, very valuable unique items (not like the 99% crap legendaries in d3), etc... I miss the part where weapon damage isnt the most important thing about character built. And to be honest at this point D3 is so boring, the items stats such as freeze, slow, etc. are at so low rate at the moment as they are useless. Diablo2 had for example slow and freeze stats that made whole character builts based on them.
What matters in Diablo3:
Weapon Damage
Str / Dex / Int / Vit
Resists (only at some point), hell we are not supposed to have 500+ resists and to aim for that
Critical
ANY other stat is useless (even ias now), all classes at some point gives you very similar gaming experience, every class aims for exactly the same items, dmg->stats->crit->resists
Oh and btw D2 had much better cash income compared to D3, there are way too many D3 sellers and we are just in the first 2 months of the game... imagine how it will be in 1 year... or in 5 years

dem that is the same thing in WOW. NO CLASS should be unique.
Just for example they got rid of anything a shaman had that made them unique and they are now a druid without shape the shift.
They want every class to do everything but nothing very good, and rng to get rng to get rng like the paladin is a F up mess.

D2. when the expansion for d3 comes out and they introduce new stuff, my mind will probably change. I really liked runewords. I also liked the classes on d2 LOT more than i like the diablo 3 classes.
hammer pally, trap assn, jav zon, fire sorc. the list goes on and on. Even the incredibly boring bow zon was a lot more fun in the cow level than i've had on my monk.

Expansion to what? What to expand? Resurect the demons back from Diablo 2?? Kill Diablo for the 4 th time??? This game is getting more and more ridiculous by every quest I am doing on inferno. Over and over and over and over again.....
