Nice, I had that setup for a while, until they took everything, leaving no gold. So I kicked them, and started COD only. Lost about 40k worth, so not an insane amount, but enough to piss me off.

yea some guy that was still in my guild from buying in WOTLK decided to do that the other day. Opened a ticket, got all items back within a day

That guy you trusted which shafted you and took your gold, YES, he got to keep that gold he took. Then, on top of that, you went and got the same amount of gold from the GMs. Now that number doubled, more inflation in the server, prices drop, etcetc.

Yes, he would.... he found a way to launder it trust me. That's one of the oldest tricks in the book my friend. "oops i got hacked, gms pl0x giev mah golds back." One could theoretically sell his own gold through proxy then claim he got hacked and double his amount.

People do it, but what your argument is missing is the fact that "He never took any gold!". I started doing this again, and anyone who does do it is not stupid enough to give their buyers a gold withdrawal... Think about it.
