Which talent spec is the best when it comes to leveling a Death Knight?
Please vote and tell the pros/cons about the spec
 
I am looking for the same info but for 80-85. If someone could give me a link to a spec that would be great.
 
Considering you don't get jumped, "and any good pvper, WILL kill your bot, as much as we like to pretend it's that good, even I.

Blood, hands down, no argument. Less dps substituted for 100% survivability. Can take multiple mobs at once, never need to eat, amazing shields with mastery, you most likely will never see yourself get low, and its SO much fun.

But~ Alas, HB does not, "from what I know of", have any cc's that support blood, which is a serious shame, because it's a solid as hell leveling spec, I guess it's a hint that we should try to learn about the program and not rely on other people to make our dreams come true

But, the next best bet IS Unholy, for HB, "simple dk", is what I use.

Pet takes amazing patrol agro off your back, it has far superior dps, and against caster targets, it can really kick some ass. But once again, it's a glass cannon class, it can take some punishment as long as it has some cd's but it will never save u from 4 mobs grinding at 84 in twighlight highlands

Dk isn't highly supported here, my best advice, is rape AH of the best greens, set er up, and hold onto your balls with plenty of food and expect some often repair bills.

But that's at lvl 84, in twighlight highlands, anywhere else with a much more supported profile will probably give you excellent results

Heres some specs from the simple DK thread. credit to him.

After playing with this for a while on my own DKs, I thought I'd release it to you guys.
It supports all three trees with the shiny new abilities, will auto detect which tree and it tries to use the rotations from Elitistjerks (Unholy DPS | Cataclysm, Ordinary Days - Elitist Jerks, Frost DPS | Cataclysm, Mad Season - Elitist Jerks)

Blood has the lowest downtime due to alot of selfhealing, but lower DPS than Unholy and Frost. I'd wager it evens out to the same speed, but blood does not need food so can be left afk.
 
I just leveled 2 dks using cimmeran and blood spec. Parts of the cc are outdated but it still works, and worked better for me in blood than simples. Kinda wish I would've tried unholy with simple
 
Unholy spec works extremely well with Cimmeran and SimpleDK. Very, very, very smooth botting. None of the DK CCs handle blood very well.
 
Level 82 Blood Spec in Uldum ATM getting 260000 Ep/H I think thats ok (not rested)
 
260k/h is pretty bad for a DK lvl82.

Unholy with simpleDK will net at least twice that.

In fact, I have 2 DK's leveling now, both are unholy with simpleDK, both unrested.

lvl81 is pulling 647k/hour
lvl83 is pulling 927k/hour

Not going to mention where, but both are public profiles from the forum
both started out with i264 gear and are now semi green geared.

Then it would take my other toons longer to get to 85.
One of them is a cata starting area, the other one is actually meant as a farming area,
but if you don't do ANY quests there it is actually a very good phase for grinding.

edit: with cata starting area I don't mean a lvl1 starting area... DUHR :P
 
So while you call me selfish, I actually helped you with your spec and profile.
Seems to me instead of judging me, you should be making me a kebab.

260k/hour to 800k/hour hmmm ? :)
 
mezz0 maybe u could help me also ;D i have an 72 Deathknight but i am rarely new to HB which profile and which Setup/spec would you say is the best for me ?

Things have changed a lot since I was lvl70'ish. So I doubt I can give you relevant advise.
I leveled BC in blood spec
(but that was pre 4.0 so I have no idea if that will still be the best for that level range).

As for profiles in BC, I use the attached... it is NOT my profile, I simply modified to make it more in line with current XML structure.
There might be better profiles, but I hate BC enough to simply load this up and forget about the toon :)

i would really like to know how some of the guys around here can use cimmerian ( for me i just cant install it, it gives some reference errors ) and simple dk ( at least on unholy specced, because when i get more than 1 mob on top of me he just stands around doing nothing :S)
 
there definitely is a working CC for blood spec... just sayin
