So I think a good way to do by IV would be to rename your pokemon with the IV# in it. That way you have a way of knowing what IV it is as well.

How far did you travel to get the Santa Monica, IE what was the last place you botted and in real time how long would that journey of taken ? You need to do these calcs when changing location or you will get a soft ban.

I left the game off over 12 hours going from NY to LA , plently of time

I had the same issue, my fix was checking the spot where you put the auth code, mine was gone due to the update so I just put it back in, then problem solved.

tried 0.79 again, after killing the sessions and it's now IDLE as well.

What are you talking about? Current version of Pokemon Go is still 0.31.0 what I can see on the app store.
