PoE crashes as soon as buddy attaches

Everytime it selects the process and attached to PoE, the buddy fills with an error message and then I have to exit PoE and the buddy. I have tried a clean install of the bot and it did the same thing. I am running the bot in admin mode. I have attached the log file that was generated by exilebuddy. The second log file is after rebooting the computer, disabling firewall, exiting Teamviewer and Discord, and attempting again. Same results.

Anyone have any thoughts? I just purchased exilebuddy and can't use it. I would like to get this resolved. Thanks in advance for any support/help.

Have you set the game to dx9? Instead of DX11, sounds like an issue that might happen in such a situation.

I do have it set to dx9. If I leave it on dx11 Exilebuddy won't even find the process to attach to.

Make sure your PoE client is actively rendering and not minimized. In addition, make sure your AV/firewall is not blocking the program.

That exception basically means EB can't attach to PoE because something is blocking it, or the process is not rendering.

Thanks for the input, but PoE is not minimized. I have it sitting in Windowed on my primary monitor. I also just tried disabling Windows Defender and Windows firewall and still netted the same results. I also tried putting Exilebuddy on the same monitor just for shits and giggles and it still threw the exact same error.

Do you have some video overlay related software installed, say Afterburner, DXTory, etc...? Those will cause this issue as well.

The only thing really video overlay related would be the Twitch Desktop app. I also have OBS installed but it was not running when attempting. I just completely exited out of Twitch and tested and it works now. Thanks for the help on that one. I'm going to try kicking my firewall and AV back on and see if it still runs. Thanks again for the help.

Awesome! Glad to hear, thanks for letting us know.
