I've noticed that HB tends, or seems rather, to pick the items that are worth the most, regardless of upgrade status or not. There's an addon called Pawn (http://www.curse.com/addons/wow/pawn) that shows you what's considered an upgrade, depending on your build.

Is there someone that can make a plugin that will take over the choosing of the reward instead of letting HB just choose what's worth the most, and make it actually choose the upgrade?

I know it's vague, but I know nothing about coding or building and I don't really know how to explain it very well. I would just like something to be made that will let me toon get the best possible gear from quests for him/her/it that's possible so that questing will go much more smoothly.

there isnt one, and chances are there wont be one, because the CompleteQuest code is hard coded into the bot, and you would need to override that in order for anything to work. and if you dont do it right you could end up breaking dozens of profiles in the process.
overall from my point of view as a independent plugin/CC developer, its not worth putting the time into messing it it, since so many things can break from changing one thing.

Ah, I see. Well, thanks for explaining that to me CnG. I agree, if it's going to break things then it really isn't worth it. It would be handy, sure, but it's really not needed enough to risk a major rewrite.

Hm... does it really just choose the most valuable quest-reward?

No I don't think so... have been watching the bot now when running it in Deepholm, and it hasn't picked one reward yet that isn't suitable for my class, Paladin. And it's not always just a choice between Cloth-Leather-Mail-Plate... because Plate is the most valuable, well almost all the time.

Yeah, I've noticed that it's not always the one worth the most money. I have a WoW addon called Pawn which shows if an item is an upgrade to a character based on spec/class weights which comes from wowhead. I've seen a lot of times where the bot doesn't choose the upgrade, but it does choose an appropriate type based on the class such as plate, mail, etc. But, I've missed a few upgrades and the bot chose the item that was worth the most because it also shows a stack of coins on the most valuable item, or at least one of my other addons does. That's why I was inquiring, but I didn't know it would warrant an entire bot rewrite. CnG filled me in and now I understand why it would be so difficult.
