[Plugin] SimpleFollow - Fork by Arden

OK. Got 1.01. Follower will port back to town and leave the game OK and stay in party, but when the leader starts the new game, he will either not resume game, or, he might jump in the game, but then exit out before the run starts. It seems like he is waiting on the invite from the leader even though he is currently in the party. He did this 3 or 4 times and then db and d3 crashed.
 
Another thing I noticed, Arden, is that when you get the config pulled up (normally crashes DB and D3) the bottom part of it is cut off so I can only see the check boxes for invite player 1 and 2. There seems to be no way to re-size that window. Just a minor quibble. I will be glad to test any version you have out. You and rrrix are both getting very close to a great solution. I hope you take his advice and put 2 heads together instead of 1 to get simplefollow to work :)

I'm not able to reproduce the issues you're having JohnnyQ.
Make sure you're using the latest DB Beta 357.
 
off topic, arden does the beta get the fps drop when bot moves around the map? also, do you know any profile tags that closes the friends window? or maybe click the x button.
 
Nice Arden! :) Its nice rrrix get some competition to give him some kick in the backend :P

I like the fact that the followers get invited straight away, with rrrix version you cant do cota, but im gonna test cota with yours to see if it works :P

I still have issues with FPS dropping with the latest beta, but it is very very rare.

Main post is updated to 1.0.4. The friends list should close automatically if no more players can be invited now.
Can only confirm it 100% works with 1 follower.

Thanks tia! I wasn't planning on updating this much more, unfortunately I'm still having crashing issues with rrrix's latest version after a few hours so I decided to go ahead and find a fix for the friends list staying open.
1.0.4 is working pretty well for me, there's still 1 nagging issue which is with the pathing.
If I have some free time I'll see if I can figure that out, but I think that may be well beyond my skills.
 
hey arden. i havent tested out the 1.0.4 but questions about the profile tags. can they be inserted somewhere other than usetownportal? Some profile doesnt start at town portals like the one post in the forum under act 2 - a royal audience. I was wonder how do I insert your profile tags for those type of runs.
 
Yep, you can use the statusText="Start" and statusText="End" in any profile tags.
It's best to use them in wait timers so the follower has a few seconds to respond to the change.
Example:
<WaitTimer statusText="Start" questId="72738" stepId="12" waitTime="5000" />

Hey i using this profile in Kill Boss Runs,
How i fix when i found boss portal, my main char do not click accpet ?
If i Click manually all followers click too, how i fix it ?
 
LAN still doesn't work. I am 100% positive I have done it exactly as I was supposed too. Still the leader doesn't invite. And when I manually invite the follower it accepts, but just spams ''Leader is in town'' or something like that and doesn't move at all. Any ideas?

If the IP address settings are correct for your followers most likely it is your modem/router firewall blocking the connection.

Sorry, firefilth. Clicking on boss portals works fine for me.
It may be something with the particular profile.
 
Just curious, what does this version do now that the my version doesn't? :)
 
Yeah. I think this needs to be a collaboration type of thing. No point in having multiple of the same plugin.
 
Will this work on a single computer? I'm running isboxer, so I have both my bots running on the same computer.
 
For some reason when I run profile that isn't like core runs I get this [SimpleFollow] Run is over, leaving the game!. I was using rrix act 1 quest runs.
