[Plugin] randomBuddy (to random generate gather profiles)

Zone StranglethornVale:5439 is deprecated - i pushed a new SVN Version to reflect this Zone
There are only 2 sub-zones available, Strangethorn Jungle and TheCapofStranglethorn

I also managed to find out why some people get "stuck" at mug-mugs place,
this is due to an error of their internet connection.
rndbuddy loads the emptyprofile.xml on startup which has one hotspot at 0/0/0
usally rndbuddy then fetches a new profile and loads this. if this failes due to some reason (your fault, not mine :P) the bot will just loop at 0/0/0 - which is mugmugs place

hmm. that's strange. i stopped the bot after some time, cause he wouldn't have moved anyway.
when i start a clean install honorbuddy tells me my build was wrong.
still: gatherbuddy2 works, when i manually load a profile.
how is it possible that just by activating randombuddy the bot goes nuts and flys to the nowhere of votfw?

I've also been having intermittent DNS issues looking up rndbuddy.tk, it seems like the nameservers for *.tk are on the slow side :(
 
Strange, the authoritive nameservers for rndbuddy.tk are caching the A record for the main "rndbuddy.tk" host, as you can see by the TTL decreasing:

dig @ns04.dot.tk rndbuddy.tk
<snip>
rndbuddy.tk. 193 IN A 74.121.150.21
dig @ns04.dot.tk rndbuddy.tk
<snip>
rndbuddy.tk. 180 IN A 74.121.150.21

An authoritive nameserver should give out responses with the full TTL of the record. In this case 300 seconds.

roboto is there any way you can up the TTL for this record? 5 minutes is quite low :)

in case you encounter issues with the DNS Servers, feel free to hardcode the Hostname in c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts - IP can be found by using nslookup
this might cause issues when I change the frontend server sometime but i dont think i have to change it within the next few months.

yes i am. but i'm using that since a couple of weeks and hadn't faced any problems doing so.
hb itself works just fine - for example with my (at the moment lvl 61) druid.
so to me it doesn't seem to be a problem for hb to be run via a roxy.
anyhow - i'd be glad if you could help me here.
it's only been 2 days and i'm already sick of the "set up" profiles.
 
My API key isnt working for some reason as well and the site is down :( do you have a firewall on the site? It says BT cannot find page :/

im lacking time to work into this roxy stuff,
usally c#'s webclient class is supposed to use the system ***** by default.
i use rndbuddy myself but with several openv.pns, this is way easier

just re-signup for a new one, process is fully automated, and site's up as well (11k requests served within the last hour)

My GB starts of good for the first 10 minutes before its about to refresh profile then this starts spamming in the mainwindow of HB. Is there an easy way of fixing this?

10 minutes refresh si quite fast, better go with 20 minutes
anyway, are you using a roxy, log? is there a line "unable to resolve 'afinternet'" as well?
 
I guess you site to generate profile its same random as your plugin? Mean with LPC or what is called.
