[Plugin] Giles Stash & Loot Rule Replacer

Woke up today morning and my stash was almost exactly like I had left it yesterday,
then I noticed a wand in it.
900 dps,750 LOH,180-190int and 60% critdmg.
my mind is still going KA-CHINGGG!!

+1 rep. thanks for all of your hard work! You're also very patient with questions and bug fixes. You even took the time to respond to my thread asking if anyone had made a plugin that didn't look so damned conspicuous when vendoring and milling items. Great job, man.

I saw you mentioned that this is the first programming experience you have had? wow. what resource did you use to learn C# structure/syntax?

(rcadams - thanks for the this - I have implemented your change of making the config file save in DB /settings/ folder instead of /plugins/GilesStashReplacer/ folder incase it helps others too - note that I have not tested this myself but others reported the moving of the config file to this location helped)

Finally figured out the problem with Drelog... Simple fix is to store your config files in the default settings folder.
Problem is drelog rebuilds everything except the settings folder each time you run a profile. duh
I've also included my revisions to your code which now makes this plugin 100% compatible with drelog.

This has really annoyed me, and confused me. Can any user of this plugin tell me how they feel about that thread and the response from Apoc (a DemonBuddy dev)? Not asking you to bump or spam that thread at all, just raising awareness of the fact that I seem to be fighting an uphill struggle, and feel like I have offended the DB devs with my plugins, and I don't know how or why. If this is the attitude and support I'm going to be getting with this and future issues then I might as well go the way of Kane and abandon this community altogether. Seriously. This is a slap in my face from DB guys themselves. If you don't want to check the thread, here's the question I posted up on Support forums to try and fix a DB bug introduced in newer DB's that'll help this plugin, and the reply I got;

Get some follower items (I just went onto AH, set filters to all follower items, rare, level 59 - max buyout 2,000) - log in, open DB, and go to town. Make DB output the "Internalnames" for them.
All fine.
Now drop all the follower items. Pick them all up again. Make DB output the "Internalnames" again.
Every single follower item is now listed as "Jewelbox_Flippy-xxx" (xxx = number) - the internalname I believe for those small jewelry boxes that can drop the story-giving scrolls and little bits of gold.
Also happens if a monster drops a follower-item - it's immediately considered to be a JewelBox with internalname.
Only happens to follower items (as far as I can see). Happens to all follower items. Happens every time I've tried it, with every follower item.
And this is relevant how?
Use the ItemType. If that doesn't match up, then I'll look into it. (Names shouldn't be used for categorizing anything. Period.)
 
I don't get where I'm supposed to place the new 1.89 folder...? Not very specific in your description/installation notes. I put the entire folder into settings?

Do I remove the old gileslootreplacer from my plugins folder? And put this new one into the settings folder?

Also... when I download the newest version there is no: StashReplacer.cfg

Can you be more specific...

but in the end he is right if ... the itemType is right .... the request should be to have specific FollowerSpecial items ... categorized ...

u should show them where they have bugs in there api ... so they can fix it and u can get ride of ur own implementation ...

wow. I have not been botting in D3 for a while, I decided to wait for the random dungeon system, but I remember how this plugin was when I played.. and my god have it improved.

This plugin looks insane now!

I see your point. You are fantastic developer and if you wont support this community anymore, im 100% with you. If you decide to walk away, i will do so aswell. But i think the latest resply from Apoc is showing alot of respect towards you and your work!

I'v see a lot of memory errors in recent version of db 199 with v1.8.8.

It happens when I click "Test Backpack Scores", restart d3 and db will read correct mostly, I believe it did happen in v1.7 or older version.

What are im doing wrong (russian wow version)
the bot sometimes pickup everything, and then he portals to town and does nothing, with spamming the "grid" error in db.
 
Install the new plugin, I had this same problem, not any more tho.


Also, my bot is picking up Whites and crap? why!
 
Selling strategy anyone ? I have 120 items now in my stash based on the rules from this plugin (yes the rules have changed over time and I am re-running everything to day to sort it out), but they don't sell anyway :( I list everything just under 10K (unless it is obviously an uber item) with no buyout on the gold AH, they never get sold. Is this the right strat to get rid of them ? Or do I just list as the same sell and buyout price, under 10k and 2 or 3 times buyout ?

Just curious what everyone else does thanks so I can shift some inventory.

i) always, always ALWAYS, have a buyout price. People want stuff NOW, and if you have no buyout they can't have it NOW and will go buy someone elses.

ii) For every item run a search and see what prices similar items are posted for, and how long those auctions have to run. If remaining time is <24h, they are priced too high. When listing items you want to post at about 2/3 of the average list price.

If you get an uber item, then set any price you like. quality will always sell eventually, almost regardless of price. (uber item being something that will fetch 25m+)
 
Sup Giles! I been trying last DRun with your last plugin and everything seems to work fine (even picking and using all filters properly with Stove goblin plugin!) but i noticed with (14000 on armors and 12000 on jewelry) only stashes a few items per hour... its so weird... everything seems to work fine and sell/salvage log looks fine but maybe something about setting scores is failing??

Install instructions haven't changed at all. You don't need to do anything. The stash replacer automatically creates a new StashReplacer.cfg in your DemonBuddy /settings/ folder on first run (with default settings). You don't need to do anything differently at all, I just wanted to warn people that;
A: The settings file was being saved elsewhere now and
B: It meant their settings would reset to default after upgrading to 1.8.9 :D

Sup Giles! I been trying last DRun with your last plugin and everything seems to work fine (even picking and using all filters properly with Stove goblin plugin!) but i noticed with (14000 on armors and 12000 on jewelry) only stashes a few items per hour... its so weird... everything seems to work fine and sell/salvage log looks fine but maybe something about setting scores is failing??

I am currently using:
DB Ver. 1.7
Radonic Act 1 Farm
Plugins: Stash & Loot Rule Replacer, Monster Priority Changer, World Object Handler, and profile restarter

I came back after 6 hours running act 1 and did not get any inferno crafting materials... I looked over your initial post and I made sure that it was enabled, not at the login screen, and a fresh folder.

Btw I've been running the act 1 profile with default settings and have yet to get an item with a high score. Was wondering how many items do you guys usually end up keeping after a day worth of botting
