[Plugin] Giles Stash & Loot Rule Replacer

It definitely should not be running to the stash if you only have 1 item in your backpack - with or without my plugin! Demonbuddy should only try to run the town-run routine if you badly need repairs (durability very low), or it detects your backpack as full. Even if I start with no plugins at all... if I have some space in my backpack and click start, it tries to run the routine I have loaded, but if my backpack is full and I click start, it begins the town-run routine (and will identify, then stash, then salvage/sell as normal).

We misunderstood each other. I meant the situation when the bot was stuck at the stash in the town-run routine. If you press stop button in the midle of it and press start again the bot is still trying to stash even if you removed almost all items from the pack.


Do any errors come up if you have logging set to Diagnostic in DemonBuddy, when it tries to stash?

And would you be able to test with version 1.2 of my plugin (it's on the main post still), and see if it still gets stuck with that? If you can definitely confirm that 1.2 works, 1.3 doesn't, in exactly the same circumstances, then that will be very helpful - as I did change the stashing code between the two, and will go back and look through it again and see what I can see!

Sorry about this. I did test this extensively at my end, and nothing has popped up on any of the bots I run, and it's hard to find a bug I can't see in action for myself!

I'll test it when bot stuck again.

Great way to test the stashing thing quickly is by "forcing" DemonBuddy to do a town-run the moment you click start, which you can do by having a completely full inventory (well, up to 2 or 3 slots free I think if you want) when you click "Start". If you stand away from the stash before you do this you'll know it's working because the first thing it will do (after identifying anything) is run to the stash.

This is how I very quickly test the town-run routine, rather than wait for the bot to go out killing monsters and looting stuff!

Anyway - does it get stuck no matter what - ie, even with an empty stash, no protected bag slots, only this plugin nothing else enabled and with only "normal" things in your backpack (armor, weapons, jewelry... no craft mats/potions/staff of herding/follower items/strange items)? And if so, does doing the same thing with v1.2 of the plugin work fine 9stash things fine)?
Yeah like i said i tried all of the above, all it does is run to stash, open it and not put anything inside, I dont have any protected item slots, only tab 3 is protected in stash.
 
I've made a slight change, this is no good to anyone except those having the stashing issue, if you could replace "GilesStashReplacer.cs" in the plugin folder, with the attached file, and run DemonBuddy (plugin will need re-enabling now, and will show as version 1.3.1). Try forcing stashing again (by having a full backpack when you click start), with logging set to Diagnostic, and tell me what comes up in DB log-window when you click Start. I'm particularly keen to know if you see "Fatal Error: No valid stash location found for ....." - an error message I just added to the end of the stashing code.

Thanks for the help guys, I know it's boring testing things over and over, but until I can make the bug happen myself, you have to be my eyes and hands. And not in a fun kinky way either.

Had 1 protecked slot, removed it, forced stashing, now seems to be working with 1.3.0
 
It stashed better there, although all the yellow 61+ items i had in the bag it just salvaged them?..

The plugin would have thought them worthless :P But while you are testing and want to keep your bag full, just keep your hand ready over the stop button - click start, watch the stash process to check it's working, and click stop the moment you see the bot start moving towards the blacksmith. Re-fill the backpack, rinse-repeat. That's what I have to do over and over again whenever I am testing changes I make to the stashing routine! If you let it reach the blacksmith, then it'll salvage the junk, and you have to find a bunch more items to fill your backpack with then :P
 
Hajkfas & giuntina - I'm very sorry but this is not my plugin causing this, it doesn't touch the looting code, and I've never seen this happen on any of my bots, ever :( Do you have any other plugins enabled that might alter DB's default looting code you could try disabling? Have you tried getting to the point where your backpack is stuck, closing DemonBuddy altogether, re-opening it, and then running with *NO* plugins enabled, does it still get stuck? I've seen a few reports of this, usually rare, but I think it might be an issue with Demonbuddy itself. I would suggest reporting it in the support forums if you can't pin it down to a particular plugin. It's definitely not my stash replacer plugin though - doesn't change any looting code at all :(


I'm only running Profile Restarter, NotificationClickOk, GilesIgnoreStuff, GilesStashReplacer, and SavePluginState. I'm going to try disable the last plugin.

There's never going to be a definite, because the markets change and there might be really unusual stat combos that are worth money which I haven't seen. But, in general, it stashes everything worth a good bit of money and never stashes junk. It'll only be borderline or unique cases where it might go one way but should go another, and feedback is always appreciated on whether I should make certain stat combos more or less "weighted" in the scores they get. I guess the question you should really ask is how much you trust me and my own personal judgement of valuable/worthless stuff, since it's me that came up with the values & formula for "judging" items! :D Really OBVIOUSLY valuable items (like mega-high stats and multiple bonuses) will always be stashed, because they'll generate such a natural high score.

I can assure you though that it's more reliable than any loot rule file out there that tries to filter valuable stuff by a long way. The only way you'd be "safer" is to have a loot-rule file that just, say, stashed all rares over level 60 and let you filter them yourself afterwards - and even then, if you are anything like me, you end up thinking stuff is worth more than it is and leave half the items in your stash that actually won't sell for more than 5-10k each, and drive yourself crazy sorting your stash on every bot twice a day :P I prefer to let my plugin do the work for me, satisfied that, with the odd exception, the only stuff in my stash is stuff worth selling.

Feel free to use the "test backpack" button in the config window - this outputs a list of all scores of every item loose in your backpack. Stick some valuable gear in there and see what my plugin judges keep worthy or trashworthy, and then go lookup those items on the AH for values. If you find anything that will reliably sell for more than say, 100k, always, that my plugin deems as "trash", then you can either lower the required score limits, or post some feedback here letting me know about particular stat combos that need slightly higher scores given (and in which item slot, and how much they reliably sell for), and I can add tweaks to updates! :D

The bot tried to vendor a lvl 55 legendary belt after it was identified. The name of the item is "Angel hair brand".
My settings is - Weapon score needed - 60600, Armor - 12000, Jewelry - 12000.

Using version 1.3, I am using it together with AGB, and I am using the Demonbuddy townruns.
I forgot to add that I am using the _Giles_blue_ilvl61_PluginRules.xml itemrules.

I also have 2 legendary crafting mats in my bank, that I did not have yesterday night. This might be from rares, but yeah, that sounds a bit weird.

I suspect this is DemonBuddy incorrectly reading the quality level of items - it does randomly get data wrong. While I've done my absolute best to minimise this happening, there are still ocassions/item-types that Demonbuddy simply always messes up. I'll see what I can do from my end, but DemonBuddy still needs a lot of work on the item-handling front (fortunately, it looks like they are starting to work on item code in the most recent updates, which is a good sign).
 
After a few hours of farming bot took all my items (except craftin material/gems/potions etc) from stash and sold it to vendor.

I had the same issue with another lootrule on another bot, so I would not be surprised if something happened after the latest update.

I'm really sorry to hear this. It's not the plugin - the plugin can't actually take things out of your stash. It only tries to move things INTO your stash, never OUT. I've seen a few very strange reports from all around the forum (people using plugins, people not using plugins, different loot-rules, different routines) relating to this. I'd suggest there's something in the very core of DB that is screwing up. It's bugging out and not reading player's stashes or something - thinking there are no items where there are, or there are items where there aren't, and doing something strange. I've never seen this myself, and I can't even imagine how/why... but I'm going to root through DB code and see what I can find for you. I've yet to ever see anything like this happen on multiple bots running for weeks now (and been running with my own plugins since I made them, on every version) - never encountered anything even like this :/
 
First I would like to say thank you for this wonderful plug-in.

Secondly I wanted to share my test results with bot getting stuck in town:

I really never experienced this in your previous version.

I am now using the updated version and tried the following:

1. In town bought regular items from vendor and started the bot with good items to stash
- bot didn't get stucked

2. Same as #1 but logged out then start the bot
- still didn't get stucked.


I am really curious on how the bot get stucked since I am leaving this overnight and worried that it might stay in town the whole night after the first stash.

I hope other users can conduct different test so Giles can help debug and fix the issue if there are any.

One thing I noticed:

I think those stats are pretty decent to be kept (which was kept by the older version)

I just wanted to know how are you calculating the score with the new version since it is going to be trashed by the new version.

Giles im having an issue with the loot rules for the plugin. DB wont let me load them at all. I can load many other rule sets but when i try and select the ones for this plugin it doesent load them. Also i saw that window on the first page with test backpack score and all that where is that screen at i enabled the plugin but i dont have that screen. Im going to fiddle around with it a bit more to see if i can figure out why its not letting me load the item rules into DB. If you can offer any advice on why its doing that please let me know :D i cant wait to try this out.
 
Noticed the bot not stashing or salvaging some items in the backpack after a town run. Noticed it more than once now, always ring/amulet.
When I tested them for values, they're identified as trash.

Here are the stats of the 2-h bow:
DPS - 956
Dex -179 Dex
Vit - 87

You can buy 1,000 DPS bows for 5,000 gold on the AH at the moment. With the dex and vit it's quite good - you might get 100k if you get lucky with it, though the market is pretty flooded with items like that. I basically increased DPS requirements for ranged weapons since so many have flooded and you now need high DPS for them to be worth a lot. You can change requirements for weapons to 65,000 if you want to catch more of these "low-value weapons", but personally I find they don't sell and keep mine at 70,000 score.

Giles im having an issue with the loot rules for the plugin. DB wont let me load them at all. I can load many other rule sets but when i try and select the ones for this plugin it doesent load them. Also i saw that window on the first page with test backpack score and all that where is that screen at i enabled the plugin but i dont have that screen. Im going to fiddle around with it a bit more to see if i can figure out why its not letting me load the item rules into DB. If you can offer any advice on why its doing that please let me know :D i cant wait to try this out.

Go to the settings tab of DemonBuddy. There is an "Item Rule Set" text box, with a button with three dots in it "...". Click that button, and select the ruleset. Are there errors when you load the ruleset? If there aren't, you should see a message like this;
"[18:25:26.514 N] [Items] Loaded Item Rules: Giles ilvl 61 Stash Replacer Plugin Rules. ONLY USE WITH Giles Stash Replacer Plugin ENABLED"
And that ruleset will be used with that character/account you attached DemonBuddy to from now on (you'll have to re-select the ruleset for any different accounts/bots you attach DB to for the first time).

As for the config window - as long as you installed the plugin correctly (which is basically just unzipping and moving a folder!), you should see the plugin listed in your "plugins" tab of DemonBuddy. Click the plugin in the plugin list, then press the "Config" button. Simples :D

Noticed the bot not stashing or salvaging some items in the backpack after a town run. Noticed it more than once now, always ring/amulet.
When I tested them for values, they're identified as trash.

Not stashing items which are set to keep? If so give me all the details.

As for salvaging - this is still DemonBuddy's domain. I don;t touch the salvaging code. So it should still be salvaging anything that the loot-rules say should salvage, and if you're using my loot rules it's this;

Is it failing to salvage jewelry that is either level 59 or 60? If so then this is a DemonBuddy bug that's been present since the first version, it randomly mis-reads item data and then gets confused in how to handle it (it doesn't see the rings/amulets as "Jewelry"). I believe Apoc has finally started working on the item handling code in the latest version, so I hope to see more of these bugs fixed soon.

Makes sense that you have this only for 2-handed weapons.

How would your plug-in value this equipment:
Int 90
Crit Chance 9
All Resist 78
1 random crappy stat ( i forgot what this is )

I sold this for 40m I am again curious how would this be rated.

These maybe specific but I thought that you might consider it in your next iteration release.
