The same reason I use windows or linux. It would not be in their own self interest to backdoor their stuff and there's enough people who use it safely so that I can also consider it safe. you're telling me you download and run all binaries from every rand person you see online? How about I give you an .exe right now, wanna run it? lol
Btw I sold some of my personal software for a while so I know where he's coming from but that also means he knows where I'm coming from. I'm offering to pay for a plugin he's got listed for 0$.

edit : not to mention the EB team probably made the bot this way specifically so that people could code for it while remaining completely transparent (compile on load).

Code stealing is rampant these days, especially targeting alcors plugins, so these measures are more or less a must

Does this plugin work now? For me it does nothing (I downloaded a profile from repository as well as I tried my own profile from the previous leagues).
Each time some item drops I see in log:
