Looks great. I just used it and it has a lot that it protects! I can't seem to find ore tho. I'd think that would be a common one and that you would have already added it... am i blind?
Other than that awesome addon, thx!
 
just used this and i love it, very easily creates a master protected items list so i no longer have to worry about individual profiles messing things up such as selling off my inking set or all my bandages.

Hello - I had a look at this and I think its great - I just see it as very 'cluttered' atm - possibly work in some 'Multiselect' listbox's etc.
Pictures in applications bring down the 'professional' look of the end product - Maybe lose the childish one on the front and come up with a logo for yourself that blends in well.

Thats only feedback I have atm till maintenance is over and I can log into HB properly..

I would suggest adding an option to enter your own items, like build a custom list where the user puts in an item name and item ID. it would make it much MUCH easier to throw a random item on the protected list through your plugin doing instead of editing in notepad and restarting HB every time. for instance the Nesingwary Lackey's Ear item, can be turned in for rep, but it not a quest item so it gets vendored by most profiles.

I created a XML, but the layout doesn't really seem to fit...

XML from the plugin:
<ProtectedItems>
<Item name="XXX" entry="XXX" />

XML from HB:

<ProtectedItems>
<Item>XXX</Item>
<!--XXX-->

Additionally, the XML file created by the plugin is called: "Protected Items.XML", but it has to be called: "ProtectedItems.XML"
 
it still works for me running 1958 and the file name is accurate bu you could always look for the string in the code and see
 
is there a chance that you could make this character/profile speciefic?
 
its not possible as the protected items xml is not instanced like the rest of hb settings are. looking into maybe re writing it so it saves setting per toon and dont use protecteditems.xml but that is a futre plan as im working on something good for you guys :)

How about a Health/Mana pot section, and maybe a looted "pets" section?
 
does it protect the gnomish army knife?
it keeps selling mine..
do i have to add it manually?
 
this dont work with the current version mate im doing a rewrite but its taking a while as i have RL stuff to deal with
 
I've been looking for exactly this sort of thing. I'll check back for a new version later.
