[PLUGIN] BuddyGrowl

Also can you implement an option for us to be notified on words of our choosing that are received through the chat window or through the server. I want to track when my toon has looted a Sky Shard and this plugin would be the perfect one to do it with.
 
It never was very good at that any way I'll look at a better option for it.
 
hey , i need some help... I have searched online for this issue and havent found a solution.

So I setup your plugin, and this is what happens

- I get notifications in growl for windows
- I they dont get to my iphone

I have removed my phone from the prowl website, and then readded it. I see that when i remove it on the prowl website nothing is there.. Then I login from my iphone and it reappears.

I can send a message from the prowl website and my phone does get it.

So the issue lies obviously between my computer and the prowl server. I saw that it says port 480 cant be blocked.
I dont have any av, and i disabled all of windows firewalls. I still cant get it.




I have deleted api keys, and readded with no luck.

So maybe this port 480 is blocked somehow... I think it said 480, i would have to read the documentation again. How do I check to see if that port is blocked, or do you think it could be something else?

edit: i just logged in my linksys router and went to applications and games, under port range forward i typed in grwl under name, then 483-483 on port, protocol i selected both, dont know what im supposed to put under ip address, i put 192.168.1.105, then i checked the box for enable... i chose 105 cuz ipconfig told me that is my computers address

idk what if that is even right, none the less it still didnt work/

I've installed growl in both windows and android phone as well as notify my android and likned it to growl.
I've installed buddy growl in the plugins folder and on the settings i've put whisper "true".But nothing happens :/
I've installed Growl in D not in C may this be the problem? What about the Growl Path? what is this?
 
installed and set up in seconds, paired it up with my iphone, tells me when i get bnet whispers / normal whispers / GM whispers / guildchat / disconnects and to top it all off it lets me know when ive levelled up.

this plugin is a godsend!

You need to set the path correctly to BuddyGrowl
 
This plugin still hasn't notified me of disconnects.

Edit: I was contacted by a GM late last night/early this morning while leveling a character with Kick's Profiles. I was amazed that I didn't receive one notification during the event. Luckily I was at my computer when it happened. Very very lucky for that one.

Then checkout the svn from here to a folder called BuddyGrowl inside your Plugins Folder.
This can also be used to forward alerts to another PC with growl installed

When you have Honorbuddy Running Make sure you set the path to "Growl for Windows in the settings"

What do i do when i click the link??

1, i made the folder in my Plugin folder but i dont no what to put inside the folder and the empty folder wont show up on HB

Same here, wont recieve any notifications. Growl is on bot and windows aswell as iphone (all running)

Also set the correct path.

The plugin used to work great tho.

Ok so it turns out it doesnt react when I whisper myself. But it reacts when someone else whispers me or talks close to me so it still works.
 
Ok, So do people still use this and if so what would you like to see added to it.

I will attempt to add features to it just don't expect them in a rapid fashion

I don't know about anyone else, but I was actually just reading through this today to see if it was still usable...
 
I?m using it, just keep it up to date.
Dont know what could be added.

2Way-Chat would be nice ^^
 
Two way chat started to be added. the Beta trunk has IRC built in and allose limited chat back via an IRC

I stopped deploying it due to 1. not playing and 2. someone else said they was helping.

EDIT:-

and 3. Buddystats what every its called. If its not what people want and the'd rather an IRC implementation then I'll carry on

I'm still using BuddyGrowl, because it's the only plugin which can do push messages to my phone :)

Just some requests :) :

-Keep it updated! :D
-Save screenshot when even occurs
-add event for honor gained and achievement pleaseeeee :)

Added both these requests. Please tell me how they function. Screenshots are global for all events currently. If it works as intended I'll spend some time adding options for only certain event's
